I was seen this hotel rating 4.5 and hotel is 3 star. In compression with other 3* hotel room condition is very poor and bad smell was coming. This hotel is situated in odd place in new Delhi, you can't go through metro.

We booked this hotel based on recommendations from family who had stayed here a few times and been highly impressed with the services in the past. Unfortunately this was not the case for us - I had initially requested a basic room but since none were available we opted for a standard room. I shudder to think what the state of the former is because the latter was terrible! It was in the basement of the building so very patchy wifi (which was unavailable the first night we checked in due to some local issues so not the management's fault) or phone reception. There was also paint peeling from the walls & ceilings in places, the bedcover in our room had some questionable faded stains and bathroom and aircon are still in the same condition as this reviewer's photos from 2011 - http://bit.ly/1FPagl9 I would have hoped that surely in 3 years it is possible to do some minor upgrades/renovations and not expect guests on tighter budgets to have zero expectations on decent quality rooms - cheap doesn't have to mean crap, it can be cheerful - I have stayed in many budget hotels around the world that manage to do so. I sincerely hope the management will consider upping the standards of their less-pricey rooms in the near future. Inclusive breakfast was basic fare - 3-4 pieces of white bread toast and one desi-style omelette with small blob of butter and jam and a cup of tea. Only variation was aloo parathas on Sat morning (delicious!) - as I understood other meals are available on request in advance and was good home cooked fare for Rs250 per person per meal so no complaints there since we ate twice at home. Swiss Palms is probably not the type of place for first time tourists to Delhi but rather those that know the area and/or Delhi quite well, have a private car/taxi booked and can stump up for the nicer rooms as the budget options are really awful in my opinion. It is difficult to locate (we had to resort to google maps numerous times to direct Delhi based taxi & autorickshaw drivers) and quite far from the nearest Metro (which may change in the future as we did see a metro station being constructed nearby). I imagine the better reviews are from those who are lodging in superior rooms so my advice to those booking this place would be to consider the factors mentioned above.

A well maintained Guest house/ B&B facility with good hospitality in South Delhi. Closed to Escorts & Apollo Indraprastha hospital Spacious and well maintained Free WIFI, well equipped room. Service staff are very helpful. They have kitchen where guest have option to do self cooking. Many restaurants and eating places near by. Recommended for long stayers.

The staff were warm and welcoming even at the late hour arrival.There's a classic Indian royalty (like in the movies) .There are no plastic bags in the rubbish bins inside the room ( which in Singapore we are used to), as they are banned in the city due to over pollution and uses more environmental means of disposal. Cable TV was fantastic - lots of world channels and programmes!Free wifi zone are available,the area are safe for tourist, I would most certainly recommend this hotel to other tourists which is more affordable (3000 INR) with 5 stars rating.

It was a real good stay and a feeling of home away home during our stay at this place. I was accompanied with one of my client from Dhaka for medical treatment and it is really incredible the way Mr. Aditya extended his warmth and hospitality towards us and specially towards the patient. The support started from the time we landed in airport till we were dropped back in the airport right from the drivers of this place, care takers, cooks and finally the owner himself. Apart from the cost paid for room and food rest all are compliments (drop and pick up from hospital etc.) which is astonishing and amazing. I Wish them good luck and advice that it is a value for the money paid. Hope they continue their hospitality in the same way in future also.
