I stayed at this hotel on 3rd of Sept 2017 for one nigh with my wife and daughter. On arrival at about 2:30am I was offered lunch and that was something great. Food quality is great. On that particular day only two tents were occupied whereas the remaining 18 tents were empty. The reason being that it was end of season and less visitors. I had ample choice to select any tent that I liked. At about 10:00pm in night the lights went off. On questioning they said that they switch off the generator and there is no power supply from local company. I said why don't they switch on the diesel generator to which they said that the diesel generator was not working. We had thick blankets to depend on for the whole night and believe me that tents can be chilly at night. The claim the beds are electrically heated but with no power they are useless. The next morning at about 5:00am I asked them to start diesel generator as we need to get ready for our next trip. After so much of hesitation they started the power generator and water heater and we could get ready. My advice to family travellers is to stay in a proper hotel and get prior confirmation on power status as many of them give an excuse of not having power and then they never switch-on the generator. May be this was the direction given by Hotel owner to save money. For me it was a waste of money as we didn't have power in the night. Many men who travel on bikes prefer to stay in these tents because anyways they are more like wanderers who can live on absolutely nothing. You might get positive reviews from them for this place but in my opinion be ready for ZERO Power if you choose to stay here. I recommend that if you are travelling with family and kids I would recommend a proper hotel/ tent and paying a few extra buck would be more meaningful.

During my first solo visit to LEH dt 4/9/17, while coming to Hunder from Leh, I was separated from my colleagues. At hunder I was searching for any stay and one boy came to me and suggest me to stay at Nubra Ethnic Camp. I agreed on her and get booking in this CAMP. Believe me that night was one of the best moment of my life. Great facilities like a good neat and tidy camp with cozy bed, tasty food dinner+breakfast and above all the BONE-FIRE NIGHT, I mean a lot of WOW moments there was. A perfect location of camp site with good supporting staff made my that night unforgettable. I would like to stay here once again if I get a chance to visit Hunder.

The Nubra Ethnic Camp is an excellent stay option. Located at the Hunder Village this camp provides stay in Tents which are nicely built, well furnished. Have pretty decent attached toilets. The tents offer heating facilities for 3 hours in the night. There are camp fire facilties. Food served is vegetarian and very basic but nice.
