I had visited for 2 days with my family. Every member of the staff is well behaved and put in all efforts to make sure that every need is taken care of. Mr.Ansari is the heart of the property and a thorough gentleman. Every minute detail was taken care of. This is a true paradise on Earth. Good work, team TAJ. Keep it up. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

In entire india, this is one of the worst TAJ experience we've ever had ! I'd give it average because of Brand Name 'TAJ', otherwise its below average. Despite booking two separate rooms, we were given a 2 bedroom suite mentioning its an upgrade. "2 bedroom suite with just 1 bathroom and they call it an UPGRADE".. WOW ! We asked them to change our suite to Premium rooms which we booked and they started making excuses that rooms are not ready, we can change it 2 connecting deluxe rooms (despite booking premium ones) etc. etc. but after lot of trouble we were fortunate to get 2 separate rooms. Staff seriously need some professional training. Service was poor and thus the food. One night we had buffet and that was extremely terrible ! Will never visit this property again.

If you've stayed in another Taj, you might be in for certain disappointments. If you've stayed in another Savoy, you are definitely in for a re-education. But this hotel does what it sets out to do, provide a heritage colonial residence for buses and buses of retirees from across the Commonwealth. And to be fair, the rooms are nice. The food isn't spectacular - Ooty has some amazing restaurants - but good enough. The most disappointing feature is probably the bar.

This is a beautiful heritage property, though sadly in need of maintenance. A positive sign they are starting to work on this. As with all heritage properties, the rooms do look worn and old. Good service from the staff. Always engaged and attentive.

This hotel is a throw back from the days of the Raj - complete with croquet lawn etc. The rooms are large (mine was more a suite) and have all the facilities you could ask for: comfortable bed, reading room/study, dressing room, large bathroom with plenty of hot water, good Wi-Fi. If the evenings are a little chilly someone will light a fire for you in the reading room. Things are a little tired, but the facilities are being renovated. Dining room (also used for breakfast) offered both a buffet and a la carte - one of the better places to eat in Ooty.
