It was a unique experience for us. Set amidst mountains and lush green surrounding the place will definitely take your breath away. The staff were very attentive and cooperative. The food which they prepared was also remarkable. The property is very well maintained. Trekking through the wilderness was fun and you get to see amazing views. If you are a nature lover, then this is the place for you.

Godliness became an adjective experienced @ Wild Walkers... no better word to express the experience... This place is uniquely situated at the edge of a hillock, completely surrounded by trees and farms and yet surprisingly accessible by roads until 200 m from the property.... 4X4s and SUVs can easily get you to the doorstep of the property. The property had 3 rooms. We went as 3 family friends and occupied each of these. The cottage was surrounded by farms which had vegetables growing including Garlic, radish, carrot and potatoes. There are caretakers as well. One of them - Dharma was a local who took care of farms and Rajan who cooks pure vegetarian food with farm vegetables. There was a manager - Karthik, who took care of every small/big request with utmost readiness and a smile.. Things to do/we did - 1) uprooting vegetables with Dharma. Potatoes uprooting was the most fun.. never knew that uprooting just one can fetch as much as 8 potatoes. 2) cooking food with Rajan. We brought our own stuff and care takers let us enter the kitchen and let us cook. 3) Accidental animals spotting every now and then as we scanned distant landscapes. Spotted bisons and bears. Understood from the local caretakers that elephant spotting is often, Leopards spotting is also not uncommon and if you are lucky you might spot a rare tiger as well. The place is still quite safe with electric fencing round the area. 4) Fireplace for camping. Caretakers set the same up on request anytime - and it felt so warm and cosy. 5) Barbequing 6) Nature trails - living upto if not beyond its name, its indeed wild walking being open to any adventurous encounter. Felt absolutely safe with local Dharma who took us for the trekking through woods and flora and fauna. Spotted a huge patch of the rare Neelakurinji - a rare flower that blooms once in 12 years. (Yes, was as much surprised - this isnt found only in Munnar). 7) Meditating on THE MEDITATION ROCK!! Overlooking the beautiful green and serene scenery - Hit the trance.... 8) Enjoyed the delicious vegetarian food cooked with fresh and immediate handpicked farm vegetables. Tastiest ever - Rajans special Bonda curry, lady finger Poriyal so differently done, rasam, sambhar rice - rare combination of tasty and healthy hygienic food... 9) Care takers are local villagers but was clearly amazed with the strong sense of care and prompt response with whatever and whenever we needed anything from food to hot water to setting up the camp fire to arranging the trek to engaging into discussions. Manager stood out with his passion for wild life and shared several first hand experience stories. He was on his toes throughout our 3 days stay and went above and beyond to make it a memorable one for us. Overall, had truly a blissful and exciting stay. Recommendation - if you want to just lose yourself, forgetting everything, get lazy, try adventures, and get soaked in the Nature, this is the place to be. The more the merrier. We were a group (3 families) and had a great time playing games and chit chatting till late night. The only thing thats not encouraged is playing loud music but thats understood as the place has to be maintained conducive for animals and wild life. Enjoy!!

This place has an BREATHTAKING view from the front facing rooms, especially, from the room by the name BISON. Located very high up the Nilgiris, the place is an apt place for spotting Indian Gaur, sambar, barking deer, sloth bear, elephants. I saw wild Gaurs from the room, many sambars during the early morning trek to the top of one of the hill ranges. This place is a NATURE LOVER's DELIGHT. I was lucky to go during the Kurinji flower blooming season (this flower blooms only once every 12 years). The food is simple VEG stuff-FIREWOOD cooked! One must have the SPECIAL bath at this place-Eucalyptus Oil one. Simply awesome!! Though i did NOT try it out, they organise jeep drive in the night to do STAR GAZING. The place is hauntingly beautiful in the night, one must try this activity. This place is quaintly romantic too in case LOVERS/COUPLES want an outing away from civilization. They can go for romantic walk upto the lake with hand-in-hand whispering "sweet nothings" into the ear of their partner/s!

This is the Best Place for Nature Lover who really needs a break from Urban life routine. When we visited this place in July, the climate was good but It was drizzling all the day. People at this place told, Jan - March is the expected season for this place. We have been there for two days and One night. They provided us very delicious simple vegetarian village foods. Coffee and Chai, whenever we needed. Snacks in the evening. Their hospitality was very appreciable. I just loved the people there. We had a small jungle walk (kind of Trecking), surely you will feel like Bear Grylls We saw a Bison , Bear (Very Close and It was very cute) If you have a good camera, definitely you can capture the best moments of your life in Bellikkal. If you are reading this with question whether to visit Wild walkers, Please do visit the place. Worth Visiting. You can keep your mobile phones apart, because you will not be able to make calls Cellular Network will be very bad in this place but If you walk few steps away from this place, you can be able to make calls. Gaurd people there will help you to walk around the place. It is advisable to have a good power backup for your electronic goods. Go to Wild walkers and Enjoy the Noise of wild and Explore the nature!! ENJOY!

If you need a relaxed vacation away from city's busy life and traffic jams this is the place. In fact there is no civilization for atleast another 3-4 kms of the homestay. View from the homestay is breathtaking. They grow raddish, carrot and other vegetables and you get to harvest along with other workers. Very less staff with just the owner and two caretakers. Food is completely vegetarian and made with the homegrown vegetables. So after your stay for two days, you return back completely detoxified from mind and even body. Dont miss the trek to Billekal estate view point. Enroute we spotted some wild bisons. And the view point is just amazing where we can see Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala from one point. We also got to see Kurinji flowers which blossom only once in 12 years and we turned out to be lucky. Mountains with violet carpet of Kurinji flowers was just amazing to watch and click pictures as well. Post the trek, staff at homestay had arranged for hot water bath in Eucalyptus oil which was very refreshing. And hot water with Jeera was kept in rooms for us to drink. What else to ask for? Please plan to visit this place if you need a relaxed holiday away from city.
