We stayed here for three days , after staying in another hotel that was not good .We paid 500 rupees for a double room with fan , private bathroom and tv . We had one of the upstairs rooms , that had a nice balcony and good views over Orchha. For the price we paid it was pretty good value .the room was clean and tidy , the water was nice and hot , and the shower was really good .The wifi was very hit and miss though , and really was only usable in the reception .. Orchha town can be pretty noisy due to numerous wedding functions , but this guesthouse was really quiet being a few minutes walk outside town . We met the manager Nitin a few times , he is a lovely guy and was helpful about advice for orchha and train connections . The guys in the hotel were really kind too , and made us tea every morning and tried to be helpful always , altough their english was limited . Overall we had a comfortable stay here , and for travellers on a budget its a good choice in Orchha .

The best is the staff, very friendly and help us everytime with no scams or own benefits. Clean enough and one of the CHEAPEST in town. Wifi (not in every room) and hot shower. Lo mejor su gente, muy agradable y te ayudan desinteresadamente que eso es dificil de encontrar en el turismo Indio. Suficientemente limpio y uno de los mas baratos. Agua caliente.

We stayed here based on a recommendation from the owner of the previous guesthouse we stayed at. So we expected the place to be fairly decent however we were very disappointed. It's cheap but it was so bad. Our room had been freshly painted and smelt badly of fumes as well as the paint coming off on our hands from the door handles. The bathroom was a joke - toilet seat and flush was broken and the sink came out from the wall. It was dirty too. Also we were told we had hot water but this wasn't the case at all. We had to ask for toilet paper and towels and one of the towels we got had been used. There wasn't much atmosphere about the place and no wifi. The plus sides though were a quiet location and nice people running the place, we got a welcome chai which was lovely. We think this place needs a fair bit of improvement before we could recommend it, even for the price we paid. We stayed one night and couldn't stay another.

The guy who runs this place is extremely unprofessional. I arrived with another female traveler and 2 male travelers. Together, we needed one double and 2 singles. We were told upon arrival that the double was $250 rupees & the single $200. Once they showed the couple their room; I was told they had no singles. I was confused as I was just told the single room rate and the guy showing us the room said he would honor the rate. He then told me no rooms were ready and that they would have to shift other guests (which he explained were indian tourists) to accommodate me. I thought this was very strange and when he saw the surprise on my face he then proceeded to ask me "you do understand hindi, correct?" (I am of indian origin but was raised in New York). Despite his rude antagonistic tone I simply asked how long the rooms would take and patiently waited as I was bit my mosquitos. I saw no other guests- and plenty of staff- so I didn't understand why no rooms were ready? After about 15 minutes, he finally showed me a room and said that the only issue was there was no hot water in this room and they would fix it in a day or two, but once they did, I would be charged extra for hot water. When I asked him what kind of nonsense policy this was he explained this was a "vip" room and he would have to charge extra. First of all, if VIP rooms exist in Orccha, this wasn't it. These people do not keep their word; are disorganized, not ready for guests; and were rude to boot. BEWARE!
