Great Hotel with good location
by nishgoel on
I stayed on Misty Meadows with family for 4 days. Hotel's location is very great as it is on walking distance from the market and bus stand. I met to Mr. Gupta and Mr. Jagdish and both are very helpful nature persons. Mr. Jagdish managed my trip very smoothly and guided me for everything. He booked tickets of my Jungle Safari as well and managed verification process at local office of forest department at his own, no need to go me. Whole staff of the hotel was very cooperative. Room is very spacious with working Wi-Fi and other amenities. Hot water was always available in the bathroom. Food quality was perfect and very tasty, either it is breakfast or dinner. I never ate "Aloo Pratha" in any hotel before like this, it was crispy and hot like at home. I visited their kitchen as well and impressed to see the cleanliness of the kitchen. If you are travelling with kids then hotel's garden is also good for spending time with the kids as they have many swings. Overall it was very good stay and happy to stay here, Thank You misty meadows.
Good Hotel in Pachmarhi with poor service
by DarnieChristopher on
We were on a long biking tour from Bombay across Madhya Pradesh and chose this hotel to stay in Pachmarhi, mainly because we wanted safe parking for our very costly bikes. This was one of the few hotels which had spacious parking within their premises. The hotel was nice, but right in the center of the town. We would have prefered to stay in the MP Tourism bungalows which were more secluded and further away. The town is very tiny and very noisy, more so since it was Diwali night. The noise comes through to the rooms. The rooms were nice with a kettle for heating water. Tea bags milk and sugar was included, but coffee was extra. The restaurent was on the ground floor, but crowded with a big group which was staying at the hotel, so we decided to explore food options outside. There is a lot of variety available, and very close by, but none of the restaurents accept credit cards, even if they have the machines. They insist on cash, and no bills. We had dinner at the hotel, and charged the amount to the room, but during checkout, the hotel insisted that the food bills had to be settled in cash only, even though we paid the room rent through card! This was really amazing and all the hotels there are resorting to such practices. The MP Tourism permits are easy to get if you reach the counter early enough, but once again, all the transactions are in cash only. There are Axis Bank and State Bank of India ATMs, but on that day, all the three ATMs we found were not working! We left our bikes at the hotel and hired a Maruti Gypsy with a guide to go to Doodhgarh, which is the highest peak in Madhya Pradesh at 1300 meters, and it is one point where you can get a view of sunrise and sunset and the same place! The roads leading to the town are narrow, but in good condition, so driving is not a problem. The lack of road signs is bothersome, since we then have to depend on Google, which is erratic as usual. Also the telephone network is very patchy in that area and many zones are blacked out. Locals are not very helpful as each person indicates a different route to the same place, which gets very confusing
Good location, clean rooms

We had booked rooms at Hotel The Misty Meadows. Almost, all the hotels in Pachmarhi are located within 1 km from the bus stand and nothing more. The Misty meadows rooms were very spacious, clean and no issues. There is a restaurant as well in house with seating. We had dinner in the restaurant later and it was ok.
Good Hotel interior with horrible staff
by sresh_m7 on
had booked Misty another branch Panchmari guest house and got worst experience. Have called Hotel manager Mr Jagdish twice to get confirmation & reminder and when we reached there was totally unbelievable the hotel was locked. Our check-in was at 6am and it was raining and we were waiting to connect the call to hotel manager but no one was ready to pick up the call we were getting wet & waiting like anything. After calling 10th times got checkin at 7:15am. After entering we had again started struggled for an hour to get water because washroom maintenance was zero. Overall if I say the good interior hotel with horrible staff.
