We went on a honeymoon trip in Kashmir..Srinagar,Gulmarg,Pahalgam. We stayed in Aru village which is 12 Km from Pahalgam. Pahalgam was the best part of our trip. We stayed in Aru eco resorts commonly called as Tent. That was the new experience. A group of small tents having a double bed and an attached bathroom in only 1250Rs. There is a army post next to the resort and a river stream flowing and what you get is the best possible place to stay. I highly recommend that place. It is 2 km before Aru Village and you will not stop clicking pictures. Food is quite delicious. It is run by Sardar ji who also runs Punjabi Rasoi in Pahalgam. Things to do in Pahalgam:- Take a trekking trip from Aru to Lidder Wat. It is a full day trip and better to take on a horse. It took 3hrs to reach Lidder valley on the horses but the journey was quite fulfilling. That is the nature you came for in the Kashmir. We started our journey at 10 AM and reached back around 7Pm. 700800 Per horse. Best thing to do in Kashmir. Go on a trip to Baisaran and then visit Betaab Valley. Chandanwari is useless if you have visited Gulmarg and Betaab valley is just a well maintained park having water stream. Be prepared to be cut off from outer world as Mobiles get Network/signal only in Pahalgam market not in Aru or Betaab valley.

We were a little apprehensive while booking, since it said bathroom was a shared facility. To our pleasant surprise, each tent had its own bathroom. The location is amazing. You can hear the sound of Lidder river while staying in the tent. The place is surrounded by some beautiful flowers and some rarely-used log houses. A mile further down the road you get to a beautiful place for paragliding. Don't miss it. At Aru valley the staff cook a fantastic meal. On day 1 we thought only Maggi was on offer, but on the 2nd night we had some good curries. Staff provide hot water on request. Will definitely stay here again. Apart from BSNL nothing works. No Wi-Fi. But no we didn't complain :-)

We went there in june 2016, this is in aru valley which is 15 km from pahalgam. This place is surrounded by natural beauty. There is river flowing at the back side, mountains in front, even can spot the snow clad mountains. It is small walk from the aru village, where we also did little shopping. They also have camp fire at night, it does become very cold. The tent have basic minimum facility but are comfortable. The people are very hospital, even the owner is very helpful with local information. There is no phone signal except for BSNL there. Food also was good especially sarso ka saag . Over all awesome experience.

The camp is situated in an excellent located about 13 kms off pahalgam. The campus is spacious with plenty of space for families to relax/kids to play. The bonfire in the nights is a treat. However, there are several limitations to staying here. The camps +linen+ quilts + bathrooms need to be improved. I would have gladly paid more for better staying facilities. Also, the food is extremely expensive and not very good quality. We paid Rs. 140 for a serving of aloo sabji. Our bill for food exceeded our cost of lodging for 3 days! I would recommend looking for other food options in Aru. The most annoying bit was that visitors to the camp (who were not staying there and came there for a brief stop/refreshments) are happy to peep into the tents while the guests are in them! There was no privacy. I request the management to ensure that this is stopped.
