Man, man, man.. Where do i even start with this place?... To tell you the truth i've never seen anything like this before in my life. And i come from an ex-communist country. I lived Ceausescu's times, believe me i've had my share of bad accommodations, but Srichackra International overcomes them all by far. A friend booked this place from us (i'm starting to reconsider my friendship with this guy). It looked good in pictures so we thought it might be ok. Big and nice. Ok, why not we said. Big mistake. Don't let yourself tricked by the pics. It has potential as a building infrastructure, it could actually be a proper hotel but right now it's nothing of what it looks in the pics. So, we arrived there after 2 days on the road, changing planes, delays and so on.. all we wanted was to crush in a bed. It was impossible at Srichackra International. The room were so dirty and dusty. It smelled very bad, you could smell the dust. The windows were so dirty, you could hardly see outside. The bed horrible, stiff, the bed sheets - complete INFECTION. I will share some pictures... stains of blood and God knows what else.. Hair everywhere on the mattress... Awful site! The pillows.. Jeez! Wait to see the pictures! I think there were the same pillows since they first open the hotel 200 years ago. I think if you sleep on those things and you have low immunity, you might even die after a night at Srichackra International. I'm not kidding. Anyway.. We wanted to leave but searching for another hotel was so hard, being so tired from the road, we just asked the reception to change our room. We changed 3 rooms, all of them horror. We ended up in their newest suite apartment whatever fancy name they used, recently renovated, creme de la creme. Man, so tired i was but still i found the power to laugh so hard. Same dirty, same poorly maintained. I asked them to change the bed sheets. Bad move cause i saw the mattress again and i just wanted to jump from the window, but the windows were too dirty, i didn't wanna touch them so i gave up on this thought fast. Besides the usual dirt, nothing was working in this room. A constant noise could be heard all the time... the bathroom all broken and cracked. I asked them to send a maid to clean a bit the room. They sent a guy who was dirtier than the room... And on top of all, the manager, was pretty happy with everything "we have good business" he said. Really? Next day we moved fast to another hotel.

Very untidy Hotel, stinking rooms , hard and uncomfortable bed , dirty bedsheets . Worst toilet, very very rusty and unhygienic bathtub . Not a good hotel to stay with family . Unprofessional staffs and dusty reception. Over all , a very very very worst hotel .

Pros Ample parking and located just on the highway, though you need to take the service road under the flyover. Room and hotel were reasonably clean restaurant (Rice bowl) was good though I ordered only typical Kerala dishes Cons When I drove in, no security at gate or door. Lobby was deserted with 1 person manning the desk. Though hotel was empty (only 2 cars in parking lot), was given a room facing lawn where a wedding reception was being hosted, with loud music late into the night. Requested change of room immediately upon check in but was told not available. Had asked for a double bed during booking but room had 2 single beds, which was then joined. Uncomfortable with a join in the middle AC was not working. It was blowing just air. Luckily it was not warm weather, so was manageable. No tea/coffee making option in room. Since I was checking out early morning, asked for tea at 5:30 AM and was told no one available to make tea! I told the front desk person of all the above problems and the response was a "ok"; not even a sorry!

Located on the National Highway and easily accessible for travelers this should have been a great property. But this has lost its glorious past due to complete lack of maintenance. The beds have bed bugs, blankets torn and the bathroom lack even basic maintenance with water overflowing and no hot water facility. The room service is even pathetic with 1 hour taken for coffee. The restaurant offers some good food, but it is very expensive and service again bad. The morning breakfast is avoidable and starts only at 8:00AM. Palakkad has many other options, so it is best avoidable to check this property.

The hotel had no hot water most of the day. Service was very poor. Bathroom doors of both rooms booked did not close. Beds were so sagging that almost all of us got a backache. Hotel was poorly staffed - both room service and housekeeping. Maintenance of room was very poor. Though we had 18 luggage items, reception did not bother to send a porter to handle our luggage.
