What's Good: Ambience
What needs to improve : Horrible complimentary breakfast
Reason For Rating : Hotel ambeince is good, rooms are ok.but worst part is kitchen. I think no proper facility. And the horrible thing is the hotel does not want to provide complimentary breakfast to its guests. Could see some guests are fighting with hotel staff . Hotel claim themselves as 3 star.. they don't have a courtesy to offer a decent buffet breakfast. We waited more than half an hour to get some idly and sambhar. Very horrible experience..

We stayed here for one night and had a good night's sleep as it's in a quiet location. Unfortunately, although the pool, looked nice, we didn't have time to enjoy it as we went up e road to the snake sanctuary (worth a visit) and the dam. The serving staff at dinner were really pleasant and helpful and I would've been happy to stay at the hotel for longer. However, it was just a quick visit whilst on a tour and we left after breakfast the next day. Food was good at evening meal and breakfast. Wifi worked well most of the time, although I recall it was at this hotel where the wifi voucher had to be changed regularly as the data usage was frequently exceeded. Would recommend this hotel if staying in the area.

As part of our South India tour, our first halt was at Hotel Tripenta. The worst place I ever halted. Rooms were smelly. Air condition was very poor. Reception air condition was very good, on complaining about A.C., no action was taken by the Manager. Dinning hall was ghostly with no customers. We had Veg soup, even that was useless. The worst part was the fried noodle which was supplied along with the soup was of old stock, might have deep fried a few days back. Thus we stopped our dinner there itself. Room boys/ Reception Guys dont have the courtesy to talk in English(Boasted to be a star hotel) . They avoid us just by talking in local language.

Zero star, if that was possible. We have been staying here since 2015 whenever we visit Palakkad. Waiving off all unpleasant things that has happened before. This time the food was terrible. I am not talking taste wise. It was disgusting to look at, (for eg: there were splotches of chutney on the pooris that I ordered) when it was brought to the table. Our mistake, we further decided not to eat a meal here. No towels in room, we call the staff, they say they have left towels (has the balls to go in the bathroom to inspect despite us telling them there weren't any), so either the towels are invisible or we stole them!! Then they bring out stained towels. When asked about it, instead of changing them the guy says "we have washed it, the stain does not go". When I asked if he meant there were no new towels, he brought out another one. Please don't expect toilet roll, there aren't any and we did not bother asking. Plus the most fun part - the room was INFESTED WITH ANTS, so no keeping snacks or even a packet of biscuit in there!! (I had left my daughter's medicine bottle on the table, and it was fun cleaning it up in the morning). Wow, they have gone from bad to worse to the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Done and dusted. Never here again!

I took my extended family last sunday to Malampuzha , a popular tourist destination, near Palakkad City. Every time I visit the place, Tripenta will be my destination for family lunches, though I have stayed with them once. What we like most is the location. The upkeep and the maintenance of the buildings and the gardens is nice, even after so many years. Rooms , as I remember, are spacious and comfortable. However, every time what we all felt was though the taste of food items are reasonably fine, the food management either out side or inside the restaurant, was much to be desired. # Every time , it took minimum Forty five minutes to have our ordered dishes served . # Repeat orders , takes about 20-25 mins , be it roties, dishes etc. # Staffs are not posted in the dining area . They take orders and vanish into the kitchen, thereby the guests find it difficult to convey something or asking for some thing as mundane as asking for filling up glasses of water. # The dishes are served without any context to the methodology. Last sunday, Chappatis were served first, and after ten minute intervals, all the main dishes were served. By that time, chappatis were consumed. Raita, which was also ordered, didn't make it to table! Drinks, which were asked specifically to be served along with food , were brought after the meal was over. # There are many more observations to share, but its enough to highlight what I think should be told to improve in otherwise, such a fine property.
