Pali is a town of Rajasthan, situated at an altitude of 214 m, associated with rich historical background. As it is home to many industries, it is popularly known as ‘The Industrial City’. Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills, which is Rajasthan's biggest cotton mill, is also situated here. Besides, many companies producing leather-based products, cement and mineral-based products have also set up their units in Pali. As the town is well known for its textile industry, people can shop for good quality cotton and synthetic clothes which are available here at very reasonable prices. There are various interesting places tourists must visit on a Pali tour.
Bangur Museum, one of the most popular Pali tourist attractions, has a collection of various historic and artistic items which include coins, dresses and weaponry. These items catch the attention of many tourists, especially those who are interested in Rajasthani culture. Lakhotia Garden, surrounded by a pond, also attracts tourists with its inescapable charm. There is also a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva in the garden. Somnath Mandir, popular for its historical background, is located in the middle of Pali and is visited by many devotees. ‘Baoris’ or step wells also form an important part of sightseeing in Pali as each one has a distinct design and is filled with architectural excellence. Maharana Pratap Smarak, Jain Mandir, Karni Mata Temple, Sai Baba Temple, Naulakha Jain Temple and Illogi Temple are other places of tourist interest. The popular tourist sites and rich culture of the town have made tourism one of the most significant industries in Pali.
