Panchkula is encircled by Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh and Ambala. This scenic town is covered by verdant terrains and boasts of a large variety of flora and fauna. It is famous all over India for Morni Hills, which run parallel to each other and are considered an integral part of Panchkula sightseeing. Another attraction of the place is Pinjore Gardens which is popular for its Shish Mahal, Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal. Also known as Yadavindra Gardens, it is a good place to unwind with a number of trees swaying around.
One of the other renowned places to visit in Panchkula is Gurudwara Nada Sahib that is situated on the banks of the river Ghagar. On Pooranmashi (the full moon day), thousands of devotees visit this shrine to offer their prayers. Another important shrine in Panchkula is Mansa Devi Temple that was erected by Maharaja Gopal Singh. Close to this temple is Chaki Mod where visitors can bath in a natural spring. Besides paying obeisance at shrines, tourists can explore Cactus Garden. It houses a large collection of succulents, which is displayed during the Cactus Show that is organised every year in the month of March. While in Panchkula, travellers can also explore the Ramgarh Fort, which is 360 years old. Counted among prominent Panchkula attractions, it boasts of captivating architecture and attracts thousands of tourists.
If time permits, travellers can plan a day trip to Kasauli, which is famous for its Christ Church and Gurudwara Shri Guru Nanak Ji. Being in Panchkula, a trip to other hill stations like Pinjore, Chail and Dagshai can also be planned.
