The camp is situated right in the front row, so you can have clear unobstructed view of the lake. The camps are of really great quality and well maintained. They provides 4 blankets which is more than sufficient to manage the chilly nights. Infact youd feel using 2 or 3 is more than enough. The washroom is attached which is a great plus point. However they would provide hot water only for an hour in the morning at specific time and all the guests are expected to take bath during that time. The meals (breakfast and dinner with morning and evening Tea) are served as buffets in the dining hall and I must say, its heavenly and fingerlicking. However please dont consider it as of your hometown considering the altitude. Although post Leh, youd only get Veg foods. So for die-hard Non-Veg fans like us, its a bit of an issue. But this is not specific to this camp, its throughout all the places youll visit after Leh. Last but not the least, the staffs are always smiling and very helpful. What else you can ask for.

Excellent location. Helpful and friendly staff, especially Sandeep and Golu. Good food. Maintenance and design leaves lot be desired. Cramped tents and toilets,no where to hang clothes or towels. There is no headrest on the beds, better bedding required. It becomes too stuffy at night and you can't sit,as there is no headrest. Intercom is essential, incase of any urgent requirements.

The Royal Camp consists of a series of clean & tidy tents set up on a lakefront property, directly overlooking the awesome Pangong Lake, with basic facilities that include comfortable beds, warm water in attached washrooms, dining facilities along with a TV & battery charging plug points for mobiles, laptops, etc., generator facilities available from 7 pm in the evening to 10 pm at night as the place has no electricity. Excellent food, efficient service & above all, an amazing location - that's the USP of Royal Camp, Pangong !

After watching 3idiot movie it was my dream to visit pangong lake. we visit pangong lake on 13th Jul 2018. It is very beauitful. Our stay was booked in Royal Camp. We had beauitful lake view tent and behind snow mountain. It was mesmerzing. Mr. Sandeep who was our care taker was very helpful. We told him to organzied camp fire in front of our tent. At night it is very cold. 11 clock lights go off. Hot water morning 6:30 to 7:30. Breakfast and dinner was good. Overall good experience. Dont miss morning view.

It was first time I was staying in a tent and it was surreal to stay so close to the lake and enjoy the night stars and the morning view of the lake. The food was good. I don't expect much in terms of quality considering it's so remotely located. It's one of the closest to the lake so you have an uninterrupted view of the lake. The bathroom is attached to the tent, which is a big advantage. It was clean, however lack of hot water means "pain" to wash. Your hands, legs and everything else will become numb in that cold. Few things that didn't go well: 1) The chains to lock the tenants were broken which made it difficult to seal the tent completely when we wanted to step out or at night (small amount of air crept in) 2) The group who booked the adjacent tent had campfire and boozed till 3AM which made it difficult to sleep with all the noise. 3) They give you 4 blankets which are darn heavy and made me feel suffocated. Overall: The sleep quality went for a toss for which I was annoyed. Hence, the 4*. Else 5* for everything else. Tips: Take power bank/extra batteries and they have limited power supply and you might need to run to the dining hall for charging. Tell your friends and family you will be unreachable for the length of stay.
