Basic accommodation but probably one of the best option available in this area
by Mukesh S on
These are concrete rooms that I consider to a much better option than the tents available in this area. Considering the chilly weather conditions of Pangong, I'll prefer the rooms of this hotel over the tents. The rooms are basic and just ok for spending one night. The dinner and breakfast buffet were avarage. There is no running hot water available. Half bucket of hot water was provided by the hotel. It's hard to find a luxury accommodation at Pangong lake. One should not visit this area if you are looking for comfort. I'll recommend this hotel to all.

the ser bum tso resort near pangong is in a bad shape.its coincidentally also the farthest in the lake area. there are no directions to reach the so called resort. food was mediocre and facilities none. no all day hot water in close to 0 degrees temp and no power all thru the day. power only comes between 6 to 10.30 pm and hot water from 6.00 am for a couple of hours..... terrible experience. a part of the structure was broken down due.
Very good experience!!

We stayed at Ser Bum Resort on 17 Aug 2018, on the ride of my life. The facility is good, the rooms were clean enough. Pangong Tso lake was visible right from the window of the room. Special arrangements for viewing the lake too. Food had limited choices but was good. The pakodas we ordered in the evening were excellent. Early morning hot water and tea made the day!! Staff was helpful and they maintained the times for dinner and breakfast. Knowing the remoteness of the region we didn't expect luxuries and the resort fulfilled all those needs.
Its this or no where .. Only concrete property at Pangong

I see people writing negative reviews about this place. Honestly there was literally nothing about this resort that you wont like. Food was best i ever had in my 6 days stay at Leh, possibly amongst the few places that provided me tea made of milk not milk powder. Breakfast was the most amazing- aloo paranthe i ever had so people are saying its ill maintained, i request you to pls understand you are not going to GOA, its a place which is secluded so much that even nearby hospital is also 3hrs away. Yes they are boosting about the only concrete property as it becomes very cold and you can literally die out of cold in the camps atleast they provide you proper coverage. If this doesn't makes you happy, i m sorry nothing else will do. We were soooo happy with the hospitality that we cdnt stop our self from giving them tips. The stories they shared with us gave goosebumps of life they are living at the lake. Have some adventurous spirit if you are heading to pan gong. I loved every second at this property. sharing my pics to prove every word written above.
Superb view of lake

When we reached it was -4 degrees and temperature dropping further. The cottages were extremely comfortable with amazing view of the lake. The service & hospitality was out of the world. It will be great if few rooms have option to burn wood as some of them struggle in extreme temperatures
better to avoid it!

Preferably look for a tent or cleaner accommodation. This hotel is too low-budget.
