What's Good: Location. Staff friendliness
What needs to improve : Poor quality of food. Cold room on top floor with gap in window
Reason For Rating : Very good location. Very helpful staff. Very polite staff. However food is not good. And we were given a room where there was a gap in the window so nights were cold. Also it was on the top floor making it colder. Reception not helpful in switching rooms.

What's Good: ENJOYED EVERY MOMENT OF MY STAY A VERY NICE HOTEL WITH AN EXCELLENT VIEW OF KANCHENJUNGA A VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS STAFF. VALUE FOR MONEY SPENT

This is by far the most luxurious stay you can have at Pelling. The hotels sits at the top of a hill with a view of Kanchenjunga. The interior makes you think that you are stuck in time with antique furniture, wooden flooring and floral carpets. The staff was very prompt and courteous. Food was very good and the variety was adequate. All rooms have pretty much the same view so you are guaranteed breathtaking views of west sikkim. Do make your bookings with the dinner package included because there is nothing around you can easily walk to.
Great heritage hotel

The elgin mount pandim is a great hotel will all posh facilities. The view of Kanchenjunga ranges from the hotel room is breathtaking, food is delicious and staff is extremely courteous. Its a must choice if you are planning to stay nearby pelling.
Views of the hills.

Only one night in this well appointed, Good value and well serviced hotel. Woke to spectacular views of sunrise over Kachenjunga from our bedroom window. Definitely gives hotel an unfair advantage over others.
Room with a fabulous view

Our stay at Elgin Mt Pandim at Pelling was soul-enriching for the fantastic view of the Kanchenjunga range from the room. The staff, especially Mr Debabrata Mukherjee, made our stay wonderful, although housekeeping was a little lax. The food was an interesting mix and we enjoyed their custom of reserved tables in the dining hall for the guests. The Pemayangtse monastery was almost next door and added to the appeal
Best place in Pelling
by rkchux on
This is by far the best place u can stay in Pelling. The hotel (wouldn't call it a resort) is nice, clean and well maintained. Location is its biggest USP. What a view you have! Extraordinary. U just stay here for that and they also know why people choose to come to their place. Bfast was decent... Could be better. You have to order dinner beforehand and can request for off-menu items also after speaking with the chef. For example after one dinner with Indian cuisine we wanted a change of taste and the chef made us a wonderful oven-baked pasta which was delicious even tho it wasn't on the menu. Staff and management is nice and courteous. Rooms are clean n comfortable... Nothing too fancy. If available ask for a room on the higher floor with the mountain view. Would have given 4.5 stars if possible.. 0.5 stars less bcoz they shud do a bonfire in the evenings which will add to the experience as well as have a separate game room with TT, Carrom, etc. There is no swimming pool or gym either. But nonetheless still the best place to stay in Pelling if ur budget allows so.
check the room properly, especially if you have dust allergy.
