  • Serene and Soulful Tranquility

I visited this spectacular property with my family during Diwali holidays. Pelling it self is Serene and tranquil place and Norbu Gangh is GEM of Pelling. We stayed in super deluxe room. Rooms are specious enough with very cozy feel. Rooms have very wonderful view of Mount Kanchunjanga from it's Windows. It is very largely spreded property with beautiful garden and vibrantly colourful flowers. Food was surprisingly very delicious and testy with reasonably good spread of buffet during breakfast and Dinner.

  • Blissful Retreat

Blissful experience at the peak. Breathtaking view of the mountains. Excellent spacious warm rooms. Clean bathroom. Excellent food and courteous English speaking staff. What more you need for a total retreat!

  • Cosy rooms with a good view of Kanchenjunga

    by NusheenPune_India on

The resort is beautiful, with a view of the Kanchenjunga in good weather from your room. The rooms were cosy, and the heaters set up before our arrival, so we checked into warm rooms. We were very keen on a trek and the hotel manager kindly fixed up a friendly guide to take us. The bathrooms need some work. Both the rooms we were in had issues with the showers and the bath tub and we ended up flooding the bathroom. In Feb we were the only occupants of the hotel and found it a bit annoying that the staff insisted that we order our dinner and breakfast meals hours in advance.

  • Homely Warmth in a mountaneous village!

    by T R R on

1 After a gruelling drive from Gangtok (although you enjoyed the sights like Char-dham, Buddha Park etc), you are happy to reach the nest! 2 A simple reception with a kindly gentleman welcoming you, swifty finish all formalities and get you escorted to your room 3 The room does not boast of opulence but has the warmth of home! 4 The glaring defect that catches the eyes is the first-of-its-kind curtains you would have ever seen. Its just like an old dhoti, badly mauled by a bunch of monkeys! Worse still, the same is the case with the bath also where one feels 'truly naked' to the whole world outside! Cannot comprehend the logic at all! 5 There is a small balcony from where you get a clear view of the mountains 6 Considering the property is in a village, the bathroom is quite good and well-furnished 7 Bed is quite comfrotable 8 WiFi is best forgotten 9 Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are quite reasonable and special care is taken by the staff to ensure we eat to our stomach's full 10 If the power goes off in the wee hours, there is no one to start the back-up DG. We had to pack and get ready just with the help of the single candle in the room and our respective mobile-phone torches! 11 Since the departing passengers will have to leave quite early, they offered packed breakfast. Although we were skeptical, it turned out to be brimming with personal care and warmth - that of a loving grandma! Each and every item was separately wrapped in aluminium foil. With care, fruits, packaged drinks and chocolates had also been thrown in. Were truly overwhelmed by the lady who prepared and handed it over - in total darkness! 12 The property has several villas and a stroll reminds one of some retreat in Europe. A clear view of Kanchenjunga is sure to thrill you, unless it is cloudy 13 The service standards are quite high. Especially, with no pollution of city-culture, the local staff win everyone's heart! 14 Understand the property belongs to actor Danny Denzongpa's family!

  • Amazing location, rooms, and staff!

    by 492anjug on

Stayed here for 2 days in May 2018. We were four of us and had booked 2 rooms in Azalea. The room and the resort is one of the best I have ever stayed in! The rooms were huge, tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable! The bathrooms were also huge, with Jacuzzi and shower stall! The view from the rooms was amazing! We saw the snow-capped Kanchenjunga early in the morning and words cannot describe the view! The breakfast and dinner buffet was really good and the staff was very sweet and polite! The front desk was very courteous and helpful! I loved the place and would love to go back again. Overall, Sikkim is a great place to visit and the people were all amazing and every inch of the place is breathtaking! A big thank you to the staff (restaurant, front desk, and housekeeping) for making our stay a very memorable one! I look forward to visiting this resort again, hopefully next year! :)

  • Please finish packing the night before. Better - get dressed and sleep!
