This is one of the places we opted for a break from the great reviews in newspapers and magazines. However, found the ground reality quite far. It's a very long drive from Mumbai and after that all the attractions again require further driving. As such there is nothing you can walk to or use local transport. The hotel also doesn't offer any shady walkways and after some time you feel in the middle of nowhere. If you want to opt for a staycation forget about using the pool which is quite dirty because of the factories nearby. Rather suited for people travelling from Pune or people going on a long weekend. One night is too short as most of the attractions are too far off and everything has to be prebooked. Coming to it, had read about the great maharastrian thali in most reviews but once we landed there we were informed that the hotel has to be informed a day ahead for the bhakri (bread). No point going for the thali with normal rotis. The restaurants have limited menu otherwise. The lunch closes at 3pm and check in is at 2pm so one has to rush to lunch immediately. Parking spots are limited which is a big problem if functions are going on in the hotel. The hotel staff will pester you even in the middle of a meal for that. Too much restrictions for a relaxing holiday resort. All said the room is very comfortable and quiet. The linen was very clean and furniture very hip and functional. Apart from soaps in dispensers all other toiletries are available on request. Liked the fact that barring the initial bottle of water, replenishments are provided in jugs. Great way to save water and avoid plastic. The staff are friendly and polite. Overall if going for a vacation get in touch with the hotel and plan everything beforehand.

This is a nice place in Phaltan. We enjoyed the hospitality at the place. The staff is very cooperative. The food is very nice. The buffet lunch includes soups, 3 vegetables (vegetarian), 1 additional non-vegetarian vegetable, 2 types of rice, dal, papad and variety of breads (nan/ roti). Overall the food quality was decent. In addition the deserts were quite nice. Overall the experience of the place was wonderful. The place is located on the main road next to the Cummins factories and cannot be missed.
