The sun had just made its way beyond the clouds and by the time we reached Le capucin things were falling into place. We started from Bangalore and we were happy to be greeted with a warm smile by everyone in the lobby. Starting with the welcome drink, breakfast especially the burgers were a delight to eat. Don't miss the cheese topped jalapeno burgers The rooms were excellent.. Clean and spacious.. Alcohol served was top notch and all together this hotel gave us a great time..Thank you..

I stayed here for 1 night it is really terrible. I could be a bit forgiving if it was 5 a night but it is not. The hotel is looked at night - we tried to go out at 8.00 am but could not get out and had to find someone with a key (who was asleep). A fire hazard and a death trap. The so called breakfast was bad. Mouse droppings on the table. No milk, no butter some was found rancid in an old tub there was toast but no jam they did not seem to know what it was. The staff need shoes. They wipe the omelette spatula on their trousers. This place is asking 30 a night avoid it. We left.

The place has both positives and negatives. Positives first It's a french villa converted in hotel. So has some heritage value and atmosphere. Rooms are furnished decently. Bathrooms too are big. They allowed us to use the lobby and attached room for keeping bags and using common washroom after and before we checked out. Negatives We reached around 5am. Before coming we had requested for early check in and the hotel manager had told us that rooms can be occupied on arrival. But when we reached hotel he had alloted rooms to other guests. We had to then use common area and got rooms after 12pm. While we opted to get going out till we got rooms, the person on counter assured us that he was giving us a complimentary upgrade to junior suite, by the time we came back he took back his own words and offered only 1 room upgrade, which we declined. So both the instances they failed to keep their word. Our rooms were room no. 2 and 4. They were adjacent to the lobby. And hotel staff was continuously talking and it was audible in the rooms. Nights were silent but during day time it was noisy. These 2 rooms have no natural sunlight and the lights in the room are dim. Bathroom was stinking. On last day of our stay the water heater stopped working and they did not have any other solution to get hot water. The boy at the lobby is too young to be given any responsibility to handle any kind of customer requests. He simply walked in the bathroom without removing shoes and dirtied the bathroom and the room. He did not even know where the heater was placed. Thankfully we had second room which we could use for taking bath. Even if we had given room keys, the room was never cleaned during the 3 days of out stay. The sand we got along the shoes kept bothering us all the while. Restaurant too is a big failure. Our order did not arrive for 45mins! And in fact they had forgotten about a part of the order. We walked out and found a better place. So obviously we avoided to have any other meals other than breakfast which was complimentary. On 3rd day breakfast the croissant, milk and coffee sachets had got over by 8.45am. and they couldn't work out the things efficiently. later as the quantity they refilled did not suffice the demand. Hotel management needs to consider appointing better staff. Douglas and Praveen were only efficient people out there. Rest of the staff is ignorant and inefficient. All in all a disappointment even though the property and the location are good.
