What's Good: Near to beach and reasonable rates
What needs to improve : Everything ok.
Reason For Rating : Reasonable hotel and suits budget...not high expectations but very much comfort with in budget...will recommend to all who wants reasonable rates and with not much fancy facilities. It is on the main road and very near to beach..walkable distance and can reach there any time. Good response from staff.

What's Good: Courteous service and proximity to beach.
What needs to improve : Poor in-room entertainment facility.
Reason For Rating : At least 26 inch LEDs with a wider range of non-regional TV channels need to be provided. The number of non-Tamil TV channels (leaving aside sports) is extremely small.

Hotel is near by to Beach Rd. rooms are good. Room cleaning service needs to be improve. They order breakfast from A2B as there is no restaurant. One bad experience during my visit "They didn't clean room during whole day, when i reached hotel in evening after site seeing they started cleaning, even they informed me that due to full occupancy they don't have towel and i have to wait till next morning to get towels which is really surprising for me. After arguments with them finally they managed to get towels.

After a dreadful first night in a 'heritage' (no comfort) hotel, we looked for somewhere clean & modern. Fortunately we found the Lotus, for less money & better in every way. The reception staff's English could be better & the Wi-Fi does not work in rooms however. We were fortunate to be given a room at the rear, away from the traffic noise. Incidentally, Puducherry is a small town where drivers are, if possible, more manic & more prone to lean on the horn than anywhere else we stayed. The location of the hotel is very good, with the beach within walking distance on one side & the main road North out of town on the other. There is a beer shop at this junction, very important after exposure to the local traffic. The only other downside was a lack of ventilation, making the bathroom rather smelly but many Indian hotels are built this way to keep out noise & hot air. Breakfast is served on a tray in the room. There are also a table & chairs to eat it off, a very useful feature here.

The Hotel is situated at Ideal Location, short walk of 1Km to Rock Beach and Promenade, It is also close to lot of nice restaurants. But rooms are tiny, Not suitable if you are travelling with child 8-12 years as room does not have place for extra bed ( the reception did not even bother to ask if we need one) and bed being of average size was difficult to have quality sleep for all 3. When they charge so much extra for child, the rooms should atleast have provision for separate cot and bed.

This hotel is suitable if your priority is only for a day stay and move. Simple and neat hotel, well maintained. Only 1km to beach. Budget hotel with necessary amenities. Rooms are well sealed to avoid road noise.

I stayed here for 1 night. The rooms are small and stringent foul smell appeared all the time. Staff response is very slow to all queries. Washroom was not cleaned when I checked into room, upon repeated 2-3 follow ups same was done. Foul smell in the room was not dealt with. Request to fellow travellers to avoid stay here.
