What's Good: staff accommodated early checkin and late checout.
What needs to improve : non-AC rooms are swamped with mosquitoes at night. Too bad we booked the so-called naturally-cooled rooms. Liked in the day. But suffered at night.
Reason For Rating : lunch buffet costs 750/pax. no alacarte choices. We have had to spend 5k+ for lunch. It can be less expensive or alacarte choices can be given.

What's Good: We stayed at the Sambu House. Unique experience. Its def worth the money. Easy access to the beach, swimming pool, good food. You can even milk a cow there. We went cycling around the resort. The house we stay was a thatched house with modern amenities. Will def recommend it!

We stayed at this resort twice already with our dog, though their cottages are not very comfortable and the beach area not very clean the property is massive and plenty of interesting spaces for our pet to roam around. The cottages needs to be updated and needs a lot of landscape maintenance. Could be a great resort if properly maintained.

We booked something called 'baywatch'. On reaching there - everything was really bad - not just bad because we paid so much - but really bad even for the most basic of hotels. The transport to the room was like a broken down golf cart with broken seats. The rooms were like really badly constructed bamboo houses - that even villagers 100 years ago would have constructed better. It does sound quaint - but it's not. There are holes in the walls , roofs, floors. It's crawling with insects. Furniture is probably picked from a scrap-yard of discarded furniture No basic amenities in the room - not even a kettle for making tea, Children play area was non-functional. Everything in the property is coated with a thick layer of dust. Overall - wow !! did not think hotels could be this scary

Not sure why TA rated this property as 3.5 star, nothing is par with any start hotel other than 18% GST on food bills. I had stayed in Bamboo house for 2 days and here is my experience Pros 1 Huge property with lush green spread next to beach Cons 1. Room has lot of mosquito and mosquito net provided has lot of holes. 2. Rooms lack basic necessities such as shaving kit, dental kit, kettle etc, Night no al-carte dinner - first day there was but next night when we arrived for dinner they said no al-carte and we were in no mood to have buffet, so went out Even though I had completely paid online booking, on check-in they asked for INR6000 as additional deposit for other consumables, this is strange experience. There are cycles for a deposit of INR100, but non of them are in usable condition. There is very poor lights inside the property and used mobile phones to reach the cottage from restaurant. Overall poorly maintained property and Bamboo house is not worth for INR7500 per day, will not recommend for this money.

I have to agree with the rat filled review - I stayed here two nights in two different A/C accommodations - for a place that charges $100 night or more, the pay as you go policy for food and beverages is ridiculous and degrading for guests and if you dont have INR on you (there is nothing around the resort) you will incur many foreign transaction fees. Room service was good and staff pleasant - but waking up to rat poop in the bathroom was unbelievable - and the front office manager Mr Rafi refused any kind of compensation for such a disgusting and disappointing stay. A property that has great potential if it were managed better.

We visited Dune Eco Village resort and Spa for our 4th Anniversary. The property is beautiful and has a lovely private beach. The have complimentary activities through the day so you can enjoy your stay there. No dish TV available, but they do have a huge library of DVDs to rent out from. The food was delicious and the wait staff was polite and courteous. They have a cat at the property who was a delight to hang out with. Senthil, Kalai, and Santosh at the restaurant were very good hosts. We'd definitely recommend this property. It's a bit on the expensive side, but we found it totally worth it.
