Hi, I visited here with my family for a short vacation, the property is located in the main city, with good connectivity. Few rooms are beach facing which is a plus point. However, the cons for this property: Food is not good, very limited menu selections, breakfast was pathetic and full of flies. Rooms also not very good, there were alot of lizards in the room. Not very well managed property. Will rate it 2 stars.

We stayed there for a night and the place met our expectations. The rooms were neat and clean, food was good. No room service so to speak off but otherwise for a govt accomodation, it was a nice place. The drawback was its location. as this was away from the main town, there is nothing outside. the rooms have no sea view. Only the dining room has the view.

An excellent property with outstanding views of the sea from each room ! Assistive staff, and service staff. A paradise for a leisure holiday. Restaurant services could however be improved but one needn't worry because within a radius of around 500 metres there are some excellent private restaurants with a delectable choice of coastal food

I stayed here on 30th March which was my last day in PB and I really regret my decision. The only reason I booked was because its run by Government and I know Megapode and Dolphin are great so I thought this would be similar but its far from that. Room interiors and quality is definitely not of same level as dolphin ( right from quality and size of washroom, to in room amenities) ...this place is a poor country cousin of other 2 resorts. It took 3 hours to get a working tea kettle which should have been there in first place. The food was also not great which is a shame since I came from Dolphin and the food there was amazing. Its also far away from main areas of PB so you cannot even venture out easily ....overall I would say the property has potential...they have good space and good greenery only if they improve on the services part. They really need to get the food right, in my view offer better in room amenities and may be start a shuttle service for beach which is a good 15 minutes walk.

We stayed in Hornbill Resort for a day and were quite impressed with the location as well as the service given that it is a Govt operated resort. The resort is on a hillock right opposite to Corbyns Cove Beach and has beautiful sea views. Since it is a bit away from the main city, the surrounding is very peaceful where you can hear chirping of birds in the morning. Evenings here are especially blissful to just sit by the sea or enjoy a walk on the seaside. The sunrise views are gorgeous from the resort. The rooms at the resort are spacious and clean. We had a room which has a balcony with sea view. Food though limited in terms of options, was fresh, tasty and economic. They have room service and serve food in the room if requested. The only point we did not like is the amount they charged us for the cab to Jetty. It was 500 Rs for a 6km ride which was double the amount we had paid for the drop the previous day. But since we did not have any option and had to start early in the morning, we agreed to it. Otherwise, autos usually charge 100 Rs to the airport and cabs charge 200 to 300 depending on the type of vehicle.
