What's Good: An average hotel with OK room and descent staff but breakfast was miserable.

Good value for a pleasure trip with larger rooms. Dated. Centrally located.Great front desk staff. Restaurant and bar staff were excellent.A tad out of the way if you want to wander out in port Blair. I would highly recommend my friends from Canada to stay in driftwood hotel and resort.

The ambience was great. Rooms are large and cozy. Food was delicious. Bar is well stocked. Music was also great. The weekend Singer was mind-blowing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the stay. Looking forward the next visit.

Stay at the hotel for four days was very comfortable ,relaxing and a memorable one. Visit to the islands was mesmerizing and well timed. The services of hotel staff, house keeping deptt ,bar and the adjoining dinning hall was excellent .Kudos to team Driftwood.Music and song by the artists in the bar was class apart . The back up support like guided tour to places like Mount Harriet ,near by beaches ,islands etc was a bonus. Keep up the spirit team Driftwood. Location of the hotel is best in terms of connectivity.

The rooms are dirty and falling apart. The list of faults are endless but here are few: 1. The window couldnt be closed as it was to small for frame, therefore outside traffic and noise could be heard 2. Damp on the ceiling 3. Bed sheets not clean, pillow and duvets stained. 4. Bathroom dirty, pubes on toilet seat, mould and grime every where, newspaper used to cover missing extractor fan, 5. Room and contents dirty, stained cups, doors, unwashed rugs. 6. Hall way carpets ripped and stained. 7. I ventured to the third floor to see what the banging was to find a back door slamming in the wind that had been tied closed with a piece of wire that had broken free 8. Kitchen dirty with piles of washing up. 9. Breakfast area dirty We had to make a last minute booking due to being evacuated from Havelock Island and was charged 5000 rupees by the manager Selba who told us the room was Delux. This was a lie and we were conned out of our money. Due to circumstances we had not choice but too suck it up and stay for a night. The current listing in Lonely Planet is out of date. Avoid this place like the plague.

Hotel is in a good location and rooms were standard . Good bar . Restaurant food and room service was very good and they tried to accommodate our elderly members' needs. Had a great party for friends ! Staff friendly and ironed out any issues we had.
