    Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was very good! The room is clean, with good ac, the bed is comfortable and the room has tv. No Wi Fi inside the room but in the reception you can get a good Wi Fi compared to other places... The hotel doesn't have restaurant so be aware. The stuff were really nice, they let us check out two hours later without paying extra money.

    The hotel is a good place to stay . They offer service, food and located at the city center. We could walk around the city in the evening. A small Indian Yadava temple is behind the Hotel. Indian Food Available.

    Stayed in this hotel for 3nights.Location wise it is very centrally located in Portblair. Donot expect any kind of luxury as it is a mid range hotel. The rooms are very neat and tidy and well furnished. The hotel staffs are co-operative.Few negatives of this hotel is that this hotel is located from 1st floor i.e there is no ground floor and no lift either it might be tiresome for old or physically challenged persons. There is no WIFI network available in the hotel. They dont have any separate restaurant however there is a restaurant just on the ground floor of the hotel of the same owner which you can access. The food of that restaurant is okay type,staffs are hard working but it is not very spacious. overall, It good for a short stay.

    I stayed for 1 night on my way back from Havealock Island . I was looking for a budget accommodation for a night stay as I had a early morning flight to catch from Port Blair. Based of TripAdvisor reviews , I choose this Hotel. I was actually very surprised once step into the Hotel ,To me it was more than the value for money. Good Things First - Location - Less than 10 min Rides from Airport and Ferry port. Main Market is just 5-7 min walk from the Hotel. Hotel is located in the main road , so Auto's are easily available any time of the day. Cleanliness - Very clean room and bathroom. Looked to me the hotel is newly built or newly renovated. Towel provided was spotless clean and fluffy. Bed Covers and Pillow covers were made from printed material ( not the usual white colour ), so was not able to make out if those were changed after the last customer checked out. To me looked clean . Room - Furniture in the Rooms were all in good condition and room size was quite big. Room had window . Had power point in the room to charge mobile phone.An electric kettle and few tea bags were available at room .No bottled drinking water was provided . A Jug of water and few glass was provided Toilet - Toilet was very clean , I would say spotless. Water pressure was good at shower. only a Soap was complimentary .Didn't check if hot water was available. Downstairs had ATM and Restaurant. All the Service guys were very friendly and prompt at service. Check in and Check out was fast . Infact they carried the register to my room to fill up my personal details instead of doing that at reception. Negative- No Elevator so do not recommend this hotel for old and Physically challenged persons. There is no room at ground floor , so one has to climb at least 1 floor up to get into rooms. I was provided with a second floor room. For me to climb up two storey was very tiring . During Check in the hotel staffs carried my luggage up till my room. No Wi Fi in the room . I need to come to the reception at ground floor to access Wi Fi. I could see Wi Fi routers at each floor , still I was not given access to Wi Fi in my room. Strong Room freshener and Incense Stick smell at Room and Lobby. Air condition was working but not very strong. To sum up my review , I would say it was a very good bargain for me . I stayed for only one night and next day early morning checked out. I didn't visited any place of interest at Port Blair , so will not be able to comment how far are those from the Hotel. Airport , Jetty , Bus Stand ( walking distant ) and market ( walking distant ) were very close to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good location and cleanness.

  • It is a Lodge!!...not a Hotel

    My program for Andaman was first day in Port Blairsecond and third in Havelock and Neiland fourth and fifth day again in Port Blair. I booked a hotel in Goal ghar in Port Blair for first day but seeing the higher trip advisor rating of this accommodation I booked it for 4th and 5th day. I was utterly surprised when I asked for a cup of tea after entering the room in Guru and the service boy handed me few pouches of milk and tea bag and advised me to make tea using the electric kettle provided in the room. Within few hours the situation got cleared to me..there was a notice at the reception that no room service available at this accommodation. They have no in house restaurant.instead a very basic eatery at the ground floor where you have to reach through the road outside. Now I don't know how they are claiming this is a hotel without any fooding and room service facilities. It is surprising why the people who gave 4 and 5 star here not mentioned that it is a lodge. I am giving pros and cons in brief First the cons 1.No room service available 2.The restaurant just below the hotel is very very basic.I asked for 1litre mineral water.there was only half litre..I asked for cold drinks.there was no cold drinks.asked for ice creamno ice cream.asked for some snacks in the evening.there was only singaras made in the morning.. 3.The people in the reception leave the office by around 7 P.M.after that there was only cleaning staff and similar category staff in the hotel.no idea when the receptionist come in the morning 4.Room was of medium size.there was only one small windowno display on air conditionerso you have to just feel and set the the temperature.a wash basin inside the room in front of bathrooma partially broken glass fitted above it. 5.Our room rent included one way complementary airport transfer and I informed the receptionist the previous evening about the exact time I would check out and he assured me of airport transfer..when I came down in reception next day morning there was only a hotel boy sitting near receptionin reply to my question he told me that he knew nothing about the car..after I called a auto and already boarded my luggage the boy came running.sir car will come in the absence of any responsible person in the hotel I did not feel it right to wait further on the words of the hotel boy... Now the pros Their room and bath room were clean Behaviour of receptionists and hotel staffs were good A small refrigerator was provided in the room But the most important point is I paid Rs 350 more per day at Guru than the hotel I stayed at Goal ghar area on my first day at Port Blairand what I got for Rs 350 less there.a full fledged hotel with room servicein house restaurantlift.facility of payment by card.and room not only bigger than Guruit was completely of different categoryshining floorwall to wall glass windowbig sofa... big glass table.
