Perfect time to visit in April in the evening with water level low enough to walk on the lake's dry floor with the small island within reach by foot. There is no boating and the peacock has vanished, but now ducks, geese, hare / rabbits, love birds in a cage. The restaurant has been cleaned and is more roomier. The surprise was a dozen tents on the dry lake bed and bonfire work. And the trip of an hour from Lonavala was really worth it this time with people playing in the water and a lot of stones for our son to throw in the water. We could walk all around the island and also the beeze at sunset was very pleasant. No biscuits or chocolates at the restaurant, but the fried snacks, cold drink, sandwiches are good.

This review is of the Lohagad Restaurant at Pawana Lake where you can have a Decent Meal & it is certainly worth visiting. The entire area has been very nicely landscaped with plants & some artifacts that makes it an interesting place to spend time at. There are also plenty of photo opportunities here. They have a few Ducks & a Peacock as well and there are two lovely Horses outside at the Parking Area too. It is located just off the main Pawana-Lonavala Road & adequate Parking is available. There is an entrance fee to be paid now which is adjusted against the restaurant bill, which is good, as it keeps unwanted elements away. The Restaurant is basic, but clean & has decent seating capacity. Wash Basins and Toilets are also available, which is a good thing. You get a very good view of the beautiful Pawana Lake from here & you can also go down to the Lake and enjoy. Boating facilities have been temporarily stopped, otherwise you can also enjoy a nice boat ride in the lake. The restaurant has a fairly large menu offering a good spread of Veg & Non Veg items, including Seafood. All items are freshly prepared & tasty, as they are made with local spices. A must visit place for lunch whenever you visit Pawana Lake.

The restaurant has an excellent view of the lake Pavana which is now at full capacity after the monsoon. There is the peacock and turkey in the property who move freely around the visitors. The restaurant which serves snacks is simple and is crowded over the weekend. The area is too small for a large crowd especially when the water level is high/ lake is full. The bad road from Lonavala has deteriorated further with the rains as usual and after last year there is no boating as the license was revoked after accidents while swimming. There is a small island in the lake which is accessible by foot when the lake is dry. But without boating it's just good for a view and a long trip on a bad road.

If you want to spend half a day or an evening viewing the lake with a drizzle of rain this a perfect gateway for Punekars! In June month the water level in the dam is such that you can soak into the lake to enjoy the cool water. We left at 2.30 from Chinchwad at reached the dam at 3.45pm. There is a restaurant inside the boat club where we had mix bhajis and noodles. Here everything is available right from Punjabi dishes to Chinese but is comparatively costly. Water sports are available most of the time. You can also enjoy horse riding. If you visit in the end of rainy season, the dam is almost full and you are not allowed to enter the water. The water sports are open only if there is no heavy rain. This is also a good experience with waterfalls and lush green view on the way. It is very breezy and you will enjoy the view a lot. Good place even to spend time with family.

On a random bike ride, we wanted to bike around the lake and we landed at this surprise place located just besides the lake. The place is beautiful with some amazing views. The seating arrangement is at a good height, giving it a perfect place to sit and chomp on some food. Access to the lake is just a few stairs below and can stay till you can! We had planned for lunch but we spent time till sunset - this place is amazing all credits to its location.
