Best hotel in shivaji nagar
by Prathamesh_Deshmukh on
This is the best hotel on FC road I stayed here for almost a week and I am ready pleased with it's experience. The things I like about the hotel :- * It's very close to the fergusson college (just on walking distance) * Cheapest in this locality * Good room service I highly recommend this hotel

We stayed at this hotel for couple of nights while attending wedding function of a friend. The hotel is situated centrally but in a noisy location. The rooms are average and room service was bit slow. Overall, this hotel requires further upgradation.

Tv was not working. AC had huge noise. Location is also worst for people who loves calm and peace. From near by pub there was huge noise and could not sleep. Attenders and receptionist didn't care for our problems at room. Better not to select. May be we can say value for money without service

We had planned our 1 day trip to Pune and needed a place just to sleep. This hotel was the cheapest one we got considering the location (FC Road: a Prime location) Building is really old and so was the elevator. Owner seemed like a nice person. Towels were provided. Room was small with 2 seperate single beds. It also has a small balcony. Bathroom was decent. Facility for hot water was provided. Overall, definitely value for money only if you're not going to spend too much of time in hotel and need a place just to crash in for a while.
Don't even consider it.

For the price that you pay, you can easily get a better deal at any other hotel. We stayed there in May 2013. Booking was done by a friend and since it was our first trip to Pune, we did not know any better, so we stayed there. At that time, we paid slightly over Rs.1000/- per day. Rooms are small and the linen is torn. If I now check on the net for hotels in the same area, I find better options at a lesser rate that what I paid (after adjusting appreciation due to inflation). Our friend had told us that the hotel management was ready to offer us 24 hours check in-check out. Far from it, since we reached at 8am in the morning we were made to pay for the full days charges (just for the sake of four hours. Check in time was 12pm they said). Further on the last day, our bus was scheduled to leave at 7pm so we were given the alternative to keep our luggage near the sofa at the reception or pay for another full day. We opted for the latter and vowed never to come to this place again. Considering that we stayed there for 9 days (U-7 National Chess Tournament), we paid for 11 days. These guys are cheats and the hotel is really rubbish. Their in-house food too is horrible. Room service slow. Saving grace is that Hotel Basera is close by.
