Hotel Dreamland has far exceeded my expectations. Though my mother had already visited the place, yet I was still wary of the "goodness" of the hotel. But I am damn impressed by the hospitality, the food, and the property itself. Right from booking to staying, it was smooth. The hotel is on the New Marine Drive almost 15 minutes auto drive or 30 min walk from Swargadwar. The sea facing rooms on 1st floor and 2nd floor offer breathtaking view. Check in is at 8am and check out at 7am. They have their own 'nulia' to take you out in the sea incase you are the adventurous sort and those looking for visiting the Jagannath Temple- they have their own panda. The manager, a very soft spoken man is always keen to extend his helping hand and have really done some major favours in helping us save money. Not to forget the sumptuous food served every single day. There was hardly any dish that didnt amaze our taste buds.

Our first time stay at this hotel after so many visits . The hotel is a bit far from swargadwar. It's next to the famous light house. We took the room on the 3rd floor (top) . The rooms was sea facing and we could view the sea from the bed itself . The service of the hotel was also good. Coming to the food.we loved it's food and it would never pinch your pocket. Overall the hotel was pretty good. Would love to stay here again.

A pleasing contrast with the filth & crowd of Swargadwar, this is a very nice looking hotel located far from the maddening crowd, where you will have only the continuous breeze of the sea, sea waves breaking down and back-washing the golden sands, occasional cars passing, people strolling and ...and Oh! the beauty of sunrise from the balcony of the room......sublime! Canopies placed just across the road in front of the hotel, where you can sit, sip and count the tides, or watch the lighthouse shine periodically, lights on the far away fishing boats blinking like stars, or listen to the sound of the swash of phosphorus laden sea waves breaking on the shore continuously....you won't know when hours or even days passed by. The rooms, bathroom fittings, bed, lighting/decor, corridor, everything is just perfect to live a romantic life in quaint place beside the Bay of Bengal for a few days. The food is lip-smacking, finger licking, awesome! The room service is very helpful. Above all, the manager is like your close friend suggesting you how to plan your rides keeping in mind your comfort and your cost. If you wnat to offer prayers in Jagannath temple, then they have a "Panda" to facilitate special out of the turn viewing and puja offering at almost no extra cost, other than the package you have opted for. If you need to visit the market at Swargadwar, auto-s are always at a whistle call away. Now, the negative points - I've found only one, you cannot pay all your expenses using plastic/electronic transfers only. You have to pay the GST, the car rentals, and food charges in cash. That means you have to carry a lot of cash, and the nearest ATM is a kilometer away. I wish this issue is resolved soon and I would like to visit it again without much cash in hand.

Visited during this puja holidays. Clean, well maintained, good and tasty food, beautiful location, excellent view from room over and above it was an excellent stay. Better to book deluxe rooms in 2nd floor front view. Rickshaw will charge rs 40 to reach swargadwar. Auto will charge Rs 100-120 to reach upto Jagannath Deb mandir. pros: - Elevator available - Restaurant available downstairs though one may have their Breakfast lunch and -dinner in their room as well, room service is free. - Excellent view from the room - Beach area in front of the hotel is clean. - Staff very friendly. The reception is a one stop solution for all your needs like cab hiring for local sight seeing, puja at jagannath temple. cons: - far away from swargadwar, though its not a con actually for those who love to stay peacefully. - for all your shopping need you need to go near swargadwar. - water supplied to the bathrooms was salt water though hotel staff told that they have installed water filter plant. well that din't bothered me much.

I visited Puri with family for 5 days & stayed in this hotel. It's a good hotel at Marine Drive Road & away from the crowd of Swargadwar @Puri... Nice clean hotel, literally on beach .... fantastic location ! The hotel is placed in between Sonar Bangla and Bluebay Resort, almost at the far end of Marine Drive Road. The place is free from noise and we loved it... We stayed in a Super Dlx room (407) at the 3rd floor. The balcony had amazing sea view . You can virtually listen the roaring of the sea waves from the room. From the hotel you have just to cross the front road and you are on the beach.... If you are fond of sea then this is the ideal place to stay. Rooms are well maintained with washroom, AC works fine and also the intercom. Room services are prompt. They have Dlx rooms at 1st & 2nd floors and you can avail lift facilities also. All the sea facing rooms are attached with balconies and you can enjoy sea views all the time. All basic amenities are at par with any budget hotel. They can also arrange car for trip to Konark and airport drop on a chargeable basis (rates are moderate). Staffs are all very helpful & courteous . Special thanks to Mr. Sushant Dasgupta, Manager, for his attention to make our stay more enjoyable ! There is a restaurant situated on the ground floor. Foods are good and modarately priced. You can enjoy the following : *Breakfast - Puri - Bhaji, Bread - Omlet, Sandwitches, Tea , Coffiee etc. *Lunch & Dinner - Chicken / Mutton thali, Fish preparations, Rice, Roti and Bengali Veg. Preparations etc. **Basic Chinese Dishes - Chilly Chicken Dry, Fried Rice, Hakka Noodles etc. ** Evening Snacks : Chicken Pakoda, Chicken Lollypop, Chicken Cutlet etc. (No hard drinks are available here) In the evening, one can seat at the front of the hotel compound or ask them to arrange chairs on the beach, they will happily do so. Even evening snacks may be delivered to beach from hotel restaurant. Enjoy cool breeze , snacks and sunset...... In the evening you can also take a walk far down the right of the hotel.... no street lights, no pollution, no crowd & noise... only you will be able to see the entire sea with a view of sunset.... Exquisite. I must say , this is the hotel from where you can get both the views of Sunrise & Sunset in the sea if you book a sea facing room with balcony (preferably 2nd & 3rd floor). Important things : - When you Check - in at the hotel be sure you should carry original Aadhar/Driving licence/ Voter card (any one) as ID proof (This is a strict rule in this hotel). Hotel checks your identity docs in original. - The only disadvantage is that many a time Card payments does'nt work here (as the hotel manager says that mobile connectivity being a costal area is very weak). So, suggest to either carry enough cash or shell out INR 50 - 60/- to go to Swargadwar by rickshaw for ATM. Overall, we enjoyed here very much and I give it a Thumbs up !!
