We knew this was a desert campsite so we were not expecting a luxury hotel but what we got was a well equipped tent with better than expected bathroom and lighting. Lots of hot water in our clean shower and a real flush toilet . We have shown it as luxurious because we think that is correct for a tented facility! We came during the Camel Festival which is very noisy day and night so it was a blessing to be slightly away from that though you do need a car to get to and fro. It gets cold at night in the desert though very hot in the day so dress accordingly. The staff at this site are all ex army men from the Marwar Hotel group and they were charming and efficient. Food is all vegetarian as the whole town is a pilgrim centre but there was lots of it and all very clean and freshly prepared. We enjoyed it . Evening entertainment was quite short- dancers for half an hour before dinner . We think this is a good option for visitors to the Camel festival who would like a comfortable adventure.

I enjoyed my stay here at the tents! We were nervous and didn't know what to expect. It was the dessert! i don't know what people expected, reading these other reviews!! It was a narrow 5 minute drive from the main road in Pushkar. You drive up, see beautiful tents and so much beautiful white sand! We got to our tent and loved it! I am from New England, i am used to a sleeping bag and a tiny tent! The tent was pretty big, with two twin beds, little vanity table, full bathroom (minus a tub of course) and two chairs to sit out front. The had a ready to go heater in there with a bug net to cover the beds. It got pretty cold late night, but that didn't surprise me! i stayed warm the whole night. They got the beds ready for you and turned heat on as we ate dinner in the dining area. I was in India for 2.5 weeks and it was the best night sleep i had got! The shower was great, shower at night is my recommendation! It is real chilly in the morning! The people who worked their were great as well. They taught me new things fun facts about India and new words! Thank you guys! RAM RAM

We loved the tents and the staff was just lovely. However, the website states it "overlooks the fair" and is just at "short walk or camel ride away." So we had a driver drop us off but it was several km from the fair. The spot was lovely but you needed your own car and driver there. We took camels one day and it took one hour to get to the fair on camels. We had to pay quite a bit to arrange for cars all the time to get us to the fair. The location was misleading. That said - if you have a car it is lovely and serene. But if you are expecting desert quiet, don't. There is a 10+ story hotel nearby that had loudspeakers blaring well up to midnight for 2 of our 3 nights so we could not sleep. Also the food was very average and we paid US$300/night! Overall, I would highly recommend the tents themselves and the staff but it is overpriced for the food and location quality.
