We have stayed for 2D/3N in this hotel. Rooms are very small but sufficient for 4 people including 2 children. Hot water is available 24 hours so we had bath at 3:00AM. Food is good though we had only once. Reasonable prices.
A decent hotel to stay in Swami's Abode

This hotel has now named as AUM hotel from its earlier name OM Hotel. This month I choose to stay here for a couple of days . Renovated recently, this hotel gives a good healthy competition for hotels of Puttapathi. Rooms are well maintained with individual geysers and with clean linen . Very close to the Gopuram gate of the temple , it is at a vantage position at reasonable cost. Restaurant attached is good. Free wi-fi is available. Laundry services at a very reasonable rates is the plus point. The front desk is very helpful. The parking is a problem here too as in every hotel in the village. I suggested one or two simple chairs in each room , which the management readily agreed to comply with.
Service with a while

The service providers at Om Hotel Puttaparthi provided the best service we experienced in India. The Reception staff were happy to help with all enquiries. A special thanks to the manager Anji in front office for always greeting us with a smile and making sure we were provided with everything we needed. If you want to relax away from the main street noise yet be close to everything, you will enjoy service with a smile at Om Hotel!
Decent Budget Hotel

What you get is commensurate with price for a tourist location. Stayed there for 3 days. Decent staff, Decent cleanliness, Average food (preferred South Indian dishes, did not like western or north indian items), Well furnished room (AC, Geyser, mini-fridge, wi-fi), power back-up available, Good location (if you are visiting the ashram or university).
Good Hotel but not that clean
by saikumarnc on
Stayed in this Hotel during the Republic day weekend and below are the pros and cons of this hotel. Pros: 1. Very near to Ashram. 2. Friendly Staff 3. Has lift for upper floors and geyser. Cons: 1. Cleanliness is the big area that they need to improve. Dont think the blankets and pillow covers were washed and changed offlate. 2. No Proper Ventilation. Took a Non AC room and the room began to turn heated up and we had to regularly open the main room to get fresh air. 3.Only on the basis of order , food is prepared. Only couple of items in breakfast are available although their menu has a list. Took 30 minutes to prepare an Ordinary Dosa and the Chutney provided was also very cold which suggested it was prepared the day prior. Ordered for lunch and the rice contained insects and the taste was also not that great. Having observed the above, I would still prefer to stay at this hotel next time if they improve on Cleanliness and food.
