Ayushi resort is more of a studio for shooting that for a resort. The place has a beautiful palace that is off limited for the general guests at the resort. The service and amenities are substandard and we were left very disappointed with the place. Would avoid coming back here.!

Enquired a day before no one informed that resort was not operational for maintenance...stranded with kids on visit without any options. Management unapologetic...only sigh of relief was decent food...

One of best experience in recent times, the food, the ambiance, the place all are packaged so well. Pure veg food, nice spread, nothing lavish, but very nice food. large spacious airy rooms, lots of space to do your own activities. Has small bird park and zoo, keeps children occupied. Huge sets erected for marriage and shootings, the palace is one of its kind. Pool is neat and not too deep, children can enjoy by themselves, under the watchful eyes of lifeguard. the slides are good. All the food served from breakfast to dinner is absolutely tasty and marvelous. There is a children park for below 10 children to enjoy, including toy train and boat rides. One could go on and on, it is something everyone should experience and enjoy

I stayed at this place for two nights for my friends wedding which was planned at this resort. If it wasn't for my friends wedding, I would have never booked this hotel. I had issues with this hotel from the time I tried booking a room at this place till I checked out. I happened to get in touch with the front office based on the details provided by the couple who was getting married there and they mentioned since they have a marriage and it's a group booking, we will get special rates. I had to send reminders to them to get response from their front desk. Moreover, the price they quoted on e-mail was expensive than the price stated on their website (and the price was somewhat a 4/5 star property in downtown Mumbai would charge - much cleaner with much better amenities). After telling them multiple times that we are part of the wedding group they revised the price to the one stated on the website, but there was no special discount. So after going back and forth multiple times, I lost hope on getting a discount and agreed on the website price. But then I had to make advance payment with only 3 days left for travel. And the only possible way to do that was international transfer, which was not possible in the given time. The hotel could not give me a solution to sort this and they stopped replying to my e-mails. Thus, I checked with the couple and they advised me to come to the hotel directly and check in there as all other people had complained similar issues about the front desk. Well, the pictures on website showed greenery but when we reached there everything was brown (with dust settled on everything). The hotel staff was not at all welcoming (except the bellboy). Their card machine could not accept international cards, thus we had to go 15 kms down to Panvel city to withdraw money. The rooms had damaged walls, a very shabby look and the bed sheet and duvet cover had turned brownish from the original white. Since it was summer in India, we had made sure we book air conditioned rooms, but it was of no use. The air conditioner was from the bronze age and could not even cool 2 sq. meters of area around it, and this was the situation of all classic rooms (I am not sure about the condition in other type of rooms as I did not enter there). The rooms also had a weird smell too. The pool out there was nothing like a pool but more like a swamp. It was green! There was no iron and ironing board available at the resort. The staff was not at all helpful in arranging one too. All the guests who attended the wedding went through this issue and we all had to wear non-ironed clothes to the wedding. The staff at the resort is really rude too. There were some issues after I checked out of the place, so I went to the reception to seek help. The staff at the reception contacted his manager regarding the issue and he replied that they cannot help. I requested the staff to connect me to the manager, the manager said that he doesn't want to talk to me and the guy at the reception passed on the message to me with a smirk. Then I told the man at reception that 'this is so rude that the manager doesn't want to talk to guests and he has a smirk on his face.' The staff replies 'even you are rude when you are telling me this'. What kind of hospitality staff reacts in this way? Not just hospitality staff, it's like the staff out there does not even have common courtesy. The only part that looked good and was green was the palace area. I don't think its worth to spend money and time at this place for just the palace.
