  • Good Property downgraded by absolutely unprofessional manpower during Night Hours

    by dEEpakK72 on

We stayed for a night in the new wing which us well made. Rooms are reasonable sized and comfortable. Bed and linen are good too. Would possibly have given a very high rating but for absolutely unprofessional and uncouth manpower at night. The Hotel seems not to have responsible people at Night. The only person available moves around in a jeans with untucked shirt and atitude found generally of Nurses in a Govt Hospital - Take it or..... It took us a good half hour to have room changed due to some foul odour emanating in the room we had. In the morning there was no electricity in the room! Had to call for help thrice before someone came and brusquely informed that everytime there is a power outage, which this Hotel seems to have frequently, one needs to wake up, take out the key card and reinsert after 30 seconds....Quite an interesting set up, I'd say! In short, property, rooms, and food is nice and so is the staff during regular hours. God forbid, if you need help at Night though!!

  • Disgusted at they way they treat women travellers.

    by fravahi on

I stayed in the hotel for 6 days on work. The hotel has no idea how to speak to women travellers. The hotel has a meal plan for dinner which means you have to go down to the cafe and eat alone. A waiter commented on my weight saying that I should be eating more for my weight. Then they suggested I exercise at a nearby park to lose weight... I found this very inappropriate and complained to themanager who said he'd do something about it. This matter would have been left alone had I not been done insulted at the reception againwhen checking out. The reception said that I had damaged a bedsheet in front of my male colleagued very loudly which was very humiliating and embarassing for me. They charged me 2000 rupees for it which I paid.I left saying they don't know how to deal with single lady travellers.. no amount of luxury or service would prompt me to ever stay in this hotel again.

  • The rooms on the Annexe are far superior than the original block where the rooms are slightly gloomy and depressing.
