Raj Imperial is roughly 2 km from Patal Bhairavi Temple and 5 km from Rajnandgaon Railway Station. The property in Rajnandgaon is a value for money accommodation having a rooftop swimming pool. There are well-appointed rooms that are equipped with essential requisites.
Available conveniences include television set, bed and attached bathroom with hot/cold running water facility. Apart from good accommodation in Rajnandgaon, the property has a restaurant that serves a selection of delicacies to its patrons.
To add more, there is banquet hall, conference room and party lawn available in the premises. Raj Imperial is approximately 5 km from Nandai Chowk Bus Stop and 57 km from Nandini Airport. Nearby points of interest to drop by include Budha Sagar Lake (4 km) and Sat Bahiniya Maata Mandir (4 km).

Ambience is good, rooms are spacious and the service quality at hotel is really bad. no proper room service, they don't respond after hours of call. even they take 30 mins to serve a glass of water at reception.

It is a nice hotel in the area. If you are coming to this district you should only stay here. Only the problem is this is pure vegetarian restuarant. I am a vegetarian so i liked it a lot. This is most i can say..whoever is reading this review should only come to this place nowhere else.

I visited Rajnandgaon in connection with some business interests. My local contact there decided to put me up at Hotel Raj Imperial, which had opened only recently as the rooms were clean, and the manangement promised him to look after us well. Now for the review; The hotel being spanking new, the rooms were superb. Housekeeping staff are polite. premises is kept clean. Linen is spotless. Unfortunately, as the Hotel is new, and is located some distance away from the railway station, the occupancy rate is abysmally poor and on the days of my stay I was probably the only guest staying there in the 50 odd rooms available there! hence although I was offered complementary breakfast and dinner, the quality of the food was nothing to write home about. In all probability it had been sourced from one of the small roadside eating joints (dhabhas) that are along the Mumbai Kolkatta Highway where the Hotel is located. However, I must admit that on one day when there was a party hosted by someone, the Hotel had its banquet hall booked and the dinner was fabulous! Probably, I was served the surplus from the banquet! And yes! The Hotel made it a point to tell me that I had to have my complementary meals in my room or else I would be charged for it if I had them in the restaurant! (which incidentally was not functioning for want of customers!) The flip side to this was that the guests at the party were noisy and were merry making way past midnight. The rooms are not very quite and the merry making noise was loud enough to keep me awake in my room. The front desk staff is poorly trained, and are not very welcoming. However, the General Manager is a hotelier with a long experience and may be able to bring the unit in to shape over time. The staff were either non-intrusive or did not bother to inquire in to my well being. I can't decide which as no service was provided unless one asked for it. And Oh Yes..., there was no hot water in the taps! This too could be because the occupancy rate was almost zero! When pointed out, the housekeeping staff told me to keep the tap open for sometime... I must have wasted a ton of water and did not get any hot water. I simply took a cold shower the next few days that I was there. As far as the view from the rooms is concerned... well the Hotel overlooks a smoking factory... spewing out tonnes of plumes of black toxic smoke all day long...24 hours of the day. Of course with the rooms being air-conditioned one doesn't really breathe in the smoke directly but it gets in a filtered form nevertheless! There is swimming pool on the roof top but the staff did not volunteer any info or extend an invite to me to avail of it.. on payment or otherwise! All in all...there are better options in Rajnandgaon or if you have a vehicle, go to Bhillai, which is about 30 km away! With a daily tariff of Rs.3000, one can do without the noise, poor food and pathetic service. Howver, if one only wants a great room, then this is the place for you!
