Nestled between the Kumbhalgarh National Park forest and the foothills of the Aravalis, V Resorts Jungle lodge Ghanerao is an over 100 years old hunting lodge of the Royal Family of Ghanerao. Built with a modern yet earthy dcor, the lodge is located at the foothills of the kumbhalgarh fort surrounded by the forest on two sides and open farmlands on the other two.
Unlike other jungle camps in Rajasthan, the property is a modern retreat with 7 simple yet tastefully designed rooms and an in house restaurant.
While the interiors are well-appointed, the exteriors get even better with a bonfire sit out area providing the oasis in the wilderness. Located less than 5 kms from the Ghanerao village, one can experience an authentic rural rajasthani lifestyle through their interactions with the local tribals and artisans in the area.
While nature walks, treks, jeep safaris, birding are the first items on most to-do lists for guests here, visits to nearby Muchala Mahavir Jain Temple or the more celebrated Ranakpur Jain Temples also add another dimension to local tour.

This is a beautiful lodge surrounded by hills and scrub jungle. The manager Mr Sajal was very accommodating, highly professional and courteous, and provided food tailored to our group's requirements. The location is peaceful and beautiful but would benefit from the creation of a hiking trail or provision of a guide for local hiking so that one could enjoy the natural surroundings even more. All in all a great experience during our one night stay, highly recommend it!

We were visiting Rajasthan on a horse riding holiday, in order to balance things out a bit we planned a hike to the Kumbalgarh Fort. I looked at Ghanerao Jungle Lodge and saw that they had a hiking option from the Lodge to the Fort. Prior to making our booking, I made it clear that we were visiting purely for the Hiking and were assured that arrangements were made. We drove 4 hours from Bijaipur, on reaching things were not ready for our stay, we were told that our food choice was not available but being non-fussy travellers we were ok with it. We were told that the property has been taken over by a 'chain' in December 2017 and what is evident is that this Lodge is not high in their list of priorities. There was no hot water in the room and despite the Manager trying to be helpful, it was mostly a host of sorries for no hot water, wrong food etc. I would not have made an issue and wriiten this review if not for what was to follow the next day! In the morning of the hike they informed us that we would have to take a taxi back from the Fort! There was absolutely zero organisation and they seemed only to be concerned about the small additional revenue from taxi charge etc! I am not one usually to make a fuss and 'noise' as a holiday can quickly go bad once you are in an experience like this, the manager kept calling his boss in the city who seemed to not care about what happened, we had already paid up so what was the point? It felt horrible that we had driven 4 hours and given up a day of horse riding to come to the middle of nowhere and have these conversations with a provider who did not give a toss about their customer. To salvage the most of the situation, we said we would take the 'guide' with us in our car to the fort and if could show us some walking trails. All I can say is that they must have gone to the local village and got the first available person that they saw! We paid the full hiking fee but got someone who did not have a clue about anything! We found our own trails, walked around a bit and left feeling a bit stupid. Management of the Lodge, please note, this is not a lodge in the city, people who visit this property are not your usual tourists they have come here for nature, to walk, to learn. It is a good property but lacking a heart.

I stayed with my friends and family at Jungle lodge for 2 Nights & 3 Days during Diwali. It was a very different kind of experience This place is completely quite & Silent surrounded with trees and hills. The best part here is the limited connectivity of Mobile Network so you will not have any such disturbance while you are relaxing here. Rooms are good and maintained Staff is also very good, helping & cooperative Serve Good Food(Especially the Rajasthani Food) Very Nice Place to relax for few days This is Homely Stay away from City. I would surely prefer to stay here again
