What's Good: Food
What needs to improve : Maintenance guys
Reason For Rating : It is a good property. Maintenance may be improved. Food is good. Location is serene but not in marketing area. Services are reasonable but maintenance guys may not be allowed to clean the room without your presence. One may go for it for club charm. Continental food choices as available in this hotel may not be available elsewhere.

Reason For Rating : Excellent location away from hustle and bustle of the city however close to all attractions. Staff is very cordial though the service may be a bit slow at peaks.

Ranikhet Club is well located on the beautiful hills of Ranikhet. It's in the cantonment area. The club's history goes back to 1869 when it was started as a sanatorium and a recreational club by the Britishers. It was exclusively for them. The club is a legacy of the colonial era. Even today it looks what it must have been in those good old days. Most of the furniture is from that era especially if you see the billiards room and the sitting lounge. The creaking noise from the dark wooden floors when you walk on them, takes you to those times. Today its membership is for the people of armed forces. However, the manual displayed outside says temporary members can pay Rs 50 per day and get the entry. We enjoyed a typical British tea time sandwiches and Indian pakoras . However , they also have a long menu for lunch and dinner. A visit to this scenic club is worthwhile because the gardens attract some beautiful birds . We also saw a family of langoors enjoying fruits from ageing trees.

This is a lovely little club located amidst greenery, lovely quaint colonial architecture, has a bar, a dining room, a library and even a ballroom which now houses the TT table! It has some greenery around it with a good view and also an outside cement tennis court! Always loved visiting it!

This stay at this place was memorable. The location of this property is great. It also hosts billiard and card rooms. The continental food served here is very delicious. The rooms are not so great but overall experience is good.

Ranikhet Club is managed by Chevron Hotels. They have 4 small rooms with attached bathrooms. The rooms and bathrooms are very basic. The taps are almost non-functional. Blankets are unwashed and filthy. We went in June 2017 (peak season) and there was a wedding party of an army man's son there The whole place, surroundings were littered and dirty. I went and checked the kitchen which resembled a big Trash Room. However, the manager Mr. Joshi goes out of his way (i think he is scared) to make things bearable but there is a limit to what he can do. The staff was overworked and tired.

The Ranikhet Club is located on the Mall Road . It is opposite the Military Hospital. The Club also has 4 Rooms where guests can stay. The rooms overlook aTennis Court and have a beautiful view of the Himalayas. The rooms can be booked by non members too. This Club is run by the Chevron Group they also run The Chevron Rosemont in Ranikhet. One can take temporary membership of the Club and also there food is reasonably priced and good . They serve Kumaoni Cuisine too. We had Vegetable Sizzler and Vegetable Au Gratin and Pieking Soup and liked it . The service and quick and the staff accommodating.
