Its tucked away in the desert. We had gone for a conference but the sprawling property was lovely. The stained glass doors and windows and the attention to detail was great. It was freezing in January though. The staff are very welcoming and nice - just a trifle obsequious though . Their singers and local dancers are really nice and put their heart and soul into welcoming you or over a meal in the open gardens. The rooms are comfortable and they have good old fashioned Rajasthani doors with their peculiar locks. Large bathrooms with decent amenities. However good soaps and shampoo etc were lacking and when i developed a racking cough , they had neither crocin nor any cough medicine. That's a little tough if you are miles away from a store! Take the forest tour - we actually saw tigers!

It is a stunning hotel. Excellent services and beautiful room number 103. We went to look for tiger and saw the mother dragging a newly killed Sambor deer to her 3 cubs. A small G&T, wash up and dinner.

We've stayed there for 2 nights in Nov 2014. Liked a large airy room, but bathroom was not very good - saw 3-4 geckos on the walls which was rather amusing, however. Plumbing pipes might have been leaking - my bags which was spread on a spare bed got wet. Being a birder, loved a morning walk around the yard.

The hotel is quite stunning and unique. Staff greeted us with a warm welcome. They upgraded us to a suite on the top floor which was very big. Huge comfortable bed and beautiful crafted furniture. Our kids had the room next door. We had a wing all to ourselves which was great. The doors to the rooms are different to standard hotel doors but it wasn't a problem as this was no ordinary hotel. We stayed 2 nights as we were doing the Jeep safari. There wasn't a tv in the room which was a surprise and there was a problem with the wifi but to be honest it was nice to chill out at the pool. The pool is not heated and was freezing cold but my 10 year old twins still had a good time jumping in. The gardens and court yard is beautful and it is a lovely place to stay. The food in the restaurant was very good and lots of variety. They make fresh naan bread and my kids couldn't get enough of it. The staff are all really nice and attentive. The Spa was lovely and both my husband and I had some treatments which were not expensive. The kids didn't have much to do apart from the pool and walk around the gradens but they were happy enough. I was surprised there wasn't a fitness centre. I would have used the pool if it had been heated.

This was part of our Travelsphere tour of India we stayed for 2 nights the evening buffet was good as was our room which had a Moroccan feel about it with stained glass windows. We enjoyed first class service being entertained in the evening round a warming log fire by traditional dancers. We were so lucky on our 2nd safari to the Ranthambore game reserve to see a tiger.
