Do not expect luxoury tents - they are more like standard canvas army tents albeit with pretty bedspread on the double bed! Huge noisy industrial fan, and a basic shower/toilet adjoining is like something out of M.A.S.H! Service is friendly however & beer/ G&T was delivered to our tent on arrival. Very noisy with traffic & dogs barking throughout night meant that we moved into a hotel room for our second night. This was quite basic & dimly lit. Hotel food was basic - evening buffet served outside in the pretty garden was luke warm & therefore a bit unappetising. The jeep safari both morning & afternoon were good - on time, & we saw a far-off tiger in zone 4 (am) & a close-up tiger in zone 1 (pm). I would stay elsewhere next time - probably in a resort further out of town & towards the main National Park entrance (quieter).

We had a fantastic week at the Ranthambhore Bagh. The staff were all brilliant, especially Ramsingh who treated us like royalty and really made our stay special. They made sure we had blankets and water on every safari, and catered wonderfully for our various dietary requirements and tastes (vegan-friendly if you let them know - a delicious range of curries, poppadoms, salads - they even very kindly cooked special dishes and desserts for me!) - we enjoyed so much amazing food!! Lovely to have evening meals out in the garden. The rooms are simple and tastefully decorated. The grounds are beautiful and a great place to relax between safaris, with seats, swings and hammocks. Plenty of birds and insects to watch and photograph! There's a few nice craft shops within short walking distance. Their expertise in wildlife photography was a big draw - the safaris were excellent, particularly thanks to our amazing guide Rajkumar - we had unforgettable front-row tiger experiences, saw a wealth of other wildlife and had plenty of great photo opportunities. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Bagh for a week, with safaris every morning and afternoon. Our every need was attended to, including some tricky dietary requirements. All the staff were wonderful, especially Ramsingh! They shared our happiness when we spotted our first tiger. The food was fantastic, the place felt like home by the end. Definitely want to go back!

From 18th to 21st we , my friend &his wife and my wife & me , were pampered and privileged guests of Ms Poonam Singh w / o Mr Aditya Singh co owner of the Ranthambhore Bagh . Here a clarification requires : pampered and Privileged guests means though we paid for our A P for two A C twin rooms , the staff trained with Poonamjis warm hospitality skills pampered us not only by their frequent warm exchanges , queries and serving us freshest of fruit , breakfasts of Cereals , Subji puri , Parantha subji , Eggs of choice , Choicest of the toasts we have ever consumed and Coffee of different individual requirement ; Lunch and dinner spreads consisting Vegetables , Paneer dish , Curds , Rice , Dal , Roti , Chicken for lunch & Mutton for dinner and Sweets ; but by keenly and minutely looking after our mundane needs such as prior to our first Safari I went to the dining hall to fetch two chilled water bottles Shri Ramsingh insisted that I should take three bottles and promised me that henceforth I should not bother to fetch the bottles as he would himself put three bottles in the ice bag and put that bag in the Gypsy . Before embarking on the Safari he , Shri Natwar Singh and Shahwej were regularly wishing us good luck and asking us our Jungle experience after our return . But before that prior to our disembarking the Gypsy one of the boys would approach us to collect our cameras , hats , etc and put the same in our rooms , so that we would be care free and enjoy our breakfast or Coffee in the evening . these are very small but ever lasting gestures . This was our second visit to The Ranthambhore Bagh . My wife and me stayed in this property in Dec 2009 for two nights . At that time we stayed in the tents . Being the summer months the tents were not available as they were not equipped with AC . But There is lot of improvement in hospitality which was Excellent last time but it was Super Excellent this time . We would like to enjoy Super Duper Excellent Hospitality of Ms Poonamji who made a point to meet me in near future .

Let me give you a one line summary of what I think of this place. Don't stay anywhere else! This wasnt my first visit to Ranthambore but it was my first stay at The Ranthambore Bagh and I really wonder why I'd have chosen another property. The Bagh maintains the endearing simplicity of a family run business while at the same time offering you hospitality that'd probably put many star rated properties to shame. The tasteful yet simple decor at the common areas makes you feel absolutely at home. That said, with Dicky's wildlife photographs adorning several of the walls in the property, you know you're at a place where the "management" knows what they're doing - it's India's premier tiger reserve after all. Being an amateur photographer, I care about my safari arrangements deeply. Turns out, Aditya and team care about your safari satisfaction more than you do.So right from all the booking logistics, wrangling with the forest department, getting my gypsy modified and finding me the right driver for the trip; Vikram, Gajendra and Aditya took care of everything. All I needed to do, was make myself available in Sawai Madhopur and just get on the safari vehicle. They took care of the little things - filling up my bean bags, getting us customised safari breakfasts and lunches, cushions for the vehicle - I could go on with the list. Admittedly the Bagh is not a big resort and I think that really helps. The staff here is able to give each guest individual and customised attention - with a smile. We have some very strange dietary preferences and it isn't often easy to get the food we want. However the staff (Ram Singh in particular) knew our preferences by the second day. If it meant making special food for us, he'd offer it without even a nudge from us. I was absolutely assured that even if we got late getting to the gate, our lunch boxes would still be waiting for us on time. There's no question that this is the only place I'm coming back to when I'm back in Ranthambhore. I have to doff my hat to Aditya and Poonam for running such an amazing business.
