This property belongs to Rewa Kings. Old construction, poor maintenance but high priced rooms. Reception is well decorated. Restaurant serves both veg & non veg food. Located near Shilpi Plaza and inside Pilli Kothi

Located in the heart of Rewa, this hotel is heavily infested with cockroaches and other insects. The room in which I stayed had a terrible stench emanating from it. The bedsheets were stained and torn at places. The hotel has no separate housekeeping staff and the person who came to clean the room had probably himself not showered in days. The room had no ventilation and the air conditioner was old and did not function properly. Room service was otherwise ok and the food served was good. However for the price of INR 2000 the room was in a very shabby state. My previous stay at this hotel had also yielded a similar experience.

During our latest Rewa visit we stayed at Hotel REWA RAJ VILAS which claims to be a 3 star Hotel. We saw a door in the room (203) which was dividing it in two rooms. It was a bit awkward thing but we ignored as we were tired enough. At midnight when lights were off I suddenly noticed light coming from the key hole of that door. I jumped out of my bed and put my eyes on that thing. I was shocked to see that the hole was big enough to show me all the happenings in the other room. I was able to see entire bed, a couple sleeping on it, their belongings etc. I was in half sleep and was a bit out of my mind so I just put a chair and blocked the hole. In the morning first thing I did was to call the manager. A lady came and begged for sorry multiple times. We gave the keys to the staff and instructed them to pack the hole asap. When we came back in the evening. We saw no improvement in the situation. They didn't even bothered to put a tape on the hole. This time I threatened them to call the cops! Then only a carpenter came and blocked the hole. This incident ruined our journey totally. Pathetic to say that this hotel belongs to the royal family of Rewa state.

I stayed in this hotel many times, since in this small city we have very limited options for stay. I used their restaurants services also but not find any much differences from my earlier visit. Very limited food option.
