What's Good: Courteous staff, surrounded by hills and water streams.
What needs to improve : The hotel charges exorbitant prices for food, pickup/drop, activities. I think the reason is that it's in a secluded area on a hill. You'll have to travel on a really narrow road that heads to top of a hill. This travel is about 3 km. Usually taxis won't agree to travel here so they have their own vehicle. And they charge about 400 bucks one way. Even their river rafting charges are double than what you'd get in the city.

What's Good: The resort is surrounded by hills, a small stream of water make up a water fall which flows just beside the resort. It's a pleasant stay far away from busy life. The resort owner Anand and his family are very helpful in all means starting from arranging airport pick up to guiding us in local attractions and travel.
What needs to improve : Approach to hotel from mail road is 3 km. The road is very bad, it's a bumpy road which u can go only in resort Jeep. And per trip they charge you 300 which i thought was expensive. Other than that it was an awesome experience.

This abode of Inner peace is situated uphill from Rishikesh city's hustle . A must visit for Nature lovers with a humble homely experience .Though the last 2 km drive is little tricky with an off roading experience , would suggest to opt for the hotels pick & drop and not risk driving up. The food was one the best attractions of the place with delicious homely Indian curries , served hot , phukas garnished with ghee . The aloo parathas in the breakfast shall make one forget their diet plan and gur ka shikanji shall not make you regret the absence of aerated beverages . The staff is very friendly and prove a very good host. Though the place may feel a little costly with local attractions situated quite far off but the evening chai in the veranda with the sound of waterfall gushing down the jungle and clouds floating cross the valley with a soft drizzle make you fall in love with the location. If you are yearning from a break from your busy schedule , this an ideal spot with trekking options and no network in your mobile shall compel you to enjoy a quality time with your loved ones and explore the surroundings. Though they can improve on their cleanliness standards and have a swipe machine for payment options. Definitely recommend for a visit in monsoon.

This resort is an excellent place for spending some days in peace and surrounding by wild nature. It's not comfortable to get to Rishikesh city ( laxman juhla). You need to call a taxi on your own or ask to the resort that will provide to give you one by payment an expensive fees. The cottage is simple, very nice but unfortunately the staff doesn't clean the room every day and doesn't change the towel. The meals are genuine and delicious.

The Resort is really beautiful surrounded by Dense Forest, Natural pools and Springs and also not very far from Rishikesh Town. The Best thing about the resort are the Natural pools. The pools are really cool and refreshing. I visited the resort on the recommendation of a friend in mid July and found it worth the money. I am surely going to visit again. And for Bird watchers, this is one of the places they can start with. I found lots of birds in the surrounding forest, rice fields and around the resorts. never fely bored for a single minute. Sunbirds, Doves, Red Vented Bulbuls, Himalayan Bulbuls, Himalayan Woodpeckers, Fire Tailed Sun birds, Flycatchers, Veriditer Flycatchers....you name it. Its a Bird Watchers Paradise if you have the patience.

Rishikesh Valley Resort is a beautiful, serene and calm place for people who look for a quiet holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are 12 cottages each with a lovely name and a small verandah attached for one to sit and enjoy the nature. The rooms are clean and neat with attached toilet. There is a common dining area and no food served in the rooms. The food is tasty, well cooked and comes with an assortment of varities. You have the liberty to have a comfortable ground seating as well as chair and table. It maybe noted the resort does not serve non vegetarian food, alcholic drinks are not allowed for consumption in rooms or elsewhere. Moreover, the rooms do not have television sets / cable tv connection. This is to give you complete time to pamper yourself, meditate and practice yoga as they have a yoga centre where in the mornings and evenings one can join and learn or practice. There is a beautiful natural water spring adjacent to the resort and the sound of the water gushing is very refreshing. One can go and enjoy a cool bath or sit and watch the cascading waters of the stream. I would like to especially thank Mr.Anand the proprietor of the place who has kept the place so lovely and he is ready to help you and give you the best of service. We had booked 4 cottages and spent a lovely time at the resort in the month of May 2018. If one is writing a book or reviewing some important article or wants to move away to a peaceful location where meditation, yoga, reading and admiring nature is what is needed, there cannot be a better place to rejuvenate than Rishikesh Valley Resort. If you are an early riser then just stroll in the large campus and see the beautiful birds and the feel of the cool breeze. Above all, it is conveniently priced and you can take a package inclusive of all meals.Mind you, this resort is NOT next to the River Ganges but on the quaint side of Rishikesh with beautiful greenery and just 3 kms from Tapovan. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again.
