Windsor Castle is a 100 year hotel. But it has been renovated about 18 months back. Room rents vary from Rs.1595 upto Rs.5000. I stayed in the Supreme room costing Rs.2000. It was a spacious room with 2 wooden cushion chairs and a centre table for eating or discussion. There was a shelf for keeping a suitcase and a wide shelf beneath the dressing mirror. Everything in the room was new - Flooring, Roofing, Lighting, LLoyd A/c, Remote controlled Super Fan, Cot, Switches, Door Knobs, Wall hanging, etc. There was a LED TV with a Cable set-top box. I was happy to find 4-5 power sockets to charge the mobiles. The bed was comfortable and there were no disturbing sounds. I learnt from my friends, that each room has been renovated in a different style. Some rooms had an antique cot, etc. The washbasin taps were the old heavy brass ones. There were small chips in the doors etc., which revealed the age of the hotel. The best part of this hotel was the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast had a wide range of continental items like bread butter, jam and cornflakes, as well as the South Indian Idli, Vada, Dosa, Utapa, Pongal, etc. Each of the items was very tasty. The elachi Tea was out of the world. I managed to drink 3 full cups, just because of the taste. The filter coffee was also excellent. For lunch we had Chicken Manchow Soup, Chicken Noodles, Chilly Fish, Mutton Briyani, and Veg items like Mixed Veg Curry, Veg Fried Rice, Veg Gold Coin and also Ice Creams. Each of the items was very delicious. In the end, they served a small peg of Paan juice, which was a mix of paan, tulasi and curd. It was very tasty. Now the 2 BEST things I liked in the restaurant. 1. Very homely, sweet, smiling and friendly service by the 2 lady waitresses. Kudos. 2. The interior of the restaurant was a perfect blend of antique and new. Very elegantly done up, with antique objects put up on walls. There was even a small corner with toys for children. In this hotel, there is a clean swimming pool which was well patronized, a spa, and a gym. Room service was fast and the reception clerks were friendly. Enjoy your stay here.

I was suprised when i checked into the hotel. I did not have much expectations at such a low priced room. But the hotel is magnificent and the rooms were beautiful. The whole hotel is a colonial era building with most of the original charm intact. Would definitely recommend the place.

Its a Good Hotel.. Good rooms.. comfortable beds and linen . a bit old rooms and bathrooms antique taps..No kettle but lot of instructions on how to use it... the hotel interiors are excellent and lot of antiques displayed everywhere . No fridge in one room , dont open the windows .. as outside maintanance is worst... Breakfast is the best part... excellent tasty Breakfast with good spread... Over all value for money if you are intrested is heritage hotel.. usually heritage hotels are very expensive .. but you can try this at best price compared with many heritage hotels....

This is the worst hotel that I have visited. From outside it is same as the pictures. But inside the rooms are damp with absolutely no ventilation and is filled is dust. Total disappointment. Food is the worst. Nothing is edible. Room service very poor. Not recommended for any type of visit.
