Fell in love with this place right away..named after the brothers Ram and Shyam the exterior looks a little tacky..the kind we see in picture books. We didn't stay here but I would ask visitors to drop in here for lunch. They serve you in bell metal (Kansa) utensils and with the tastiest food possible..typical Bengali fare of course!!

Hotel location is excellent, just within the range of sonajhuri haat. Hotel environment is superb. Food available is traditional bengali dishes, most of the are good . Room size and toilet size is really small. Room service is need to improved.

Sumptuous Sunday Lunch in bengali style at Ram Shyam Village Resort at the Saturday Market ( ) of SonaJhuri, Bolpur-Santiniketan, West Bengal. The Veg Thali was good but the Mutton we didn't relish that much. It was under-cooked. But the Aloo-Posto was really good in taste. Ambience is good. It is a rural themed hotel cum restro with clay wall, wooden log furniture, bamboo and wooden combination of ceiling with rustic lighting. You have to wait after a mid size queue on Saturday & Sunday during lunch hour. Report Card: Quality: 3.5/5 Quantity: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Value for money: 3/5

located just within the Sonajhuri Haat... excellent location...very neat and beautiful village decor.. food was too good.. we took veg and non-veg thalis... only one word of caution - on every saturday between 12-6 pm there is a traffic block .. only toto is permitted to ply in that area due to the haat.. so to reach the resort or the haat, one has to take the toto only

Wonderful experience. The Resort is too good. Foods are excellent. Nicely decorated with ethnic beauty. Staffs are very polite and their hospitality is too good. Specially I would mention the famous Sanibarer Hat with baul gaan and tribal dance. Just loved it.
