Dilip is warm n very hospitable & his Dwarka is amazing! One of my wonderful getaway from the hectic city life! The food served here is one of the best I've ever had!Mr.Dilip builds a rapport with you from the moment you meet him & it would feel that you know him for ages. He also advises his guests on where to visit for lunch & trust me, it was amazing food!Am looking forward to visiting Dilip again...in the very near future.

This home stay was recommended by a colleague; the good experience started the moment we spoke to the owner Dilip Aklekar over the phone. He was extremely resourceful and earnest, even before we booked our rooms. Though it was a short stay, would strongly recommend this place for the warm hospitality, lush greenery, delicious food and accessibility to the lovely beaches of both Goa and Maharshtra(Tarkali). In fact we realized towards the end of our stay that Dilip is a celebrity of sorts in the area and he has develop his own network of people who can complement your stay whether its the cab or scuba instructor. Bonus if you have enthusiastic kids who will love to run around in this beautiful property. Hence, if you are looking at an authentic experience discovering the Malvan region within Maharashtra or want to explore Goa from a distance, this place is strongly recommended. Thank me later!

We were a group of 10 consisting 2 senior citizens, 3 adults, 4 kids and our dog. Our visit was from 12th to 16th November. 4 nights at Dwarka Homestay felt just right. The bungalow is huge and each room is spacious with an attached bath and balcony with a swing. For the senior citizens we took a room on the ground floor. The place is pet friendly. Parking is available. Our package included breakfast and dinner and we savoured and enjoyed each and every meal cooked by Ameeta. She even shared a few recipes with us. The property is huge full of mango, cashew, fruit plantations and fields. Every morning we would go for walks on the fields. Beaches are about 20 to 30 kms away. The host, Dilip, is very hospitable, considerate and accommodating. He shares a lot of insights on nature, farming, local history and places to visit. The swimming pool and internet facilities were not available while we were there, but it wasn't really missed much. This was our first homestay experience and I must say that it was a very pleasant one.

I visited with my family to Dwarka in Amboli, Sawantwadi in the month of December 2017. The nature's best gift is present there. Air is pure, lots of morning birds chirping, Fruits and veggies organically grown and with the key ingredient of Dilip Uncle's warm hospitality. He personally cares very much of his guests. You can take his great guidance for the correct places to visit at the correct hour. Rooms are decent and home made food is indeed delicious. I especially remember his Kulith Besan which is a very good protein recharge. A memorable photo session with him. A must visit.

Stayed at this property for 2 days.. It's spacious, neat and clean. And, oh so green! Laden with 200 plus mango and other trees, one feels close to nature. Something that most of us miss the most. Rooms on first floor comes with baclony and swings, perfect place to relax. It has a very sinple, homely feel, so do not expect anything fancy. The host - Dilip uncle knows so much about the place, he planned our activities there and helped us with various other things there. The passion that he has for his property and organic orchard is something that will stay with me forever. There's a lot to do in and around Sawantwadi, 2 days were definitely not enough for us. So, would be good if you have at least 3 full days to spend here. For meals, I would suggest to have it at the homestay itself.. The food has a very homely feel to it and is delicous.. There are very few places that I religiously visit every year, Dwarka Homestay is now one of them. P.S. This place is heaven for mango lovers like me. This is where you can get real Alphonso magoes (all organic) - just like the ones we had back in 90's.
