We first opted for the very budget room but by night realized that it was infested with bugs. On informing the reception we were upgraded to a bigger, better room, paying the difference and it was well worth it. The reception staff is friendly and will provide assistance if required.

Hotel Galaxy is one of the worst Hotel in Shillong. The management is good for nothing. When we had entered this place, geyser was not working. We had made several complaints to the Manager to repair the geyser. He said electrician will come at 10.30 am and it was already 11 am. We gave our room key to Manager but nothing was fixed. Again, we made the complaint in the evening. He said electrician will come in the evening. They gave us immersion rod, water was not getting heated. There was water leakage in the washbasin and flush. The Washroom was not so much clean. When we had check-out, we wanted to keep our luggage in their storeroom but the Manager simply denied it and he said that we don't have enough space to keep your luggage. We saw others guest's luggage was lying in the reception area. It was one of the worst hotel where I had stayed in my life.
