Horrible stay and Cunning staff, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !!

Initially they promised me to provide a room at lower cost but later while checking out suddenly they changed their stance and looted more money from me. I was visiting with my wife, while checking out they created ruckus and created a scene intentionally and behaved like gundas to extract more money from me, especially the night shift person very rude with me and I felt cheated and helpless as I was with my family. Eventually they looted the additional amount from me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !! THEY WILL ALWAYS TRY TO LOOT FROM YOU. BEWARE.

Pleasant stay - Service could have been more prompt

A very short stay here. Checked in around 7 in the evening, and checked out early in the morning.
We were 3 people, so we were given a fairly large room. The room was very decent and very comfortable. The staff was polite and courteous, however not prompt.
We had to keep calling them up over and over for things.
We ordered food for dinner. The food was tasty and sumptuous.
We had some veg soup, Hakka noodles, Dal Fry.
They served us complimentary breakfast in the morning, with some boiled eggs, aloo and pooris, and tea. The breakfast was good.
Turned out to be a pleasant stay.

OYO is NO YO
by Sumen

The location is a big issue. Its almost 2.5 - 3.0 km from police bazaar and costs Rs 300/- to & fro.
It pretty down market if you choose to walk with scrap shops, garages etc lining the road towards police bazaar. There is a hardware shop on the ground floor itself with the entrance of the hotel inside the compound. The signage can easily be missed.
Two floors with about 9 rooms each.
The rooms are good but the view is the general mess around, under construction buildings etc.,
The buffet breakfast is served in the large lift n staircase lobby and is limited and cold fare if you arrive @ 9 am after large tour groups have left.
Additionally if you are on the 3rd floor be prepared to be woken up early around 6 due to the noise and chaos by the tour groups having breakfast outside your door!!!!
For the price I paid of Rs 4300/- per night it was expensive. I had to shell out additional Rs 200/- per day for the portable heater!!!! This was totally ridiculous. Its has be either AC or heater basis the local weather.
Of this Rs 1075 was OYO fee per night.
The ala carte food was good, however dinner arrived 1.30 hours later after 3 reminders.
The water is the bathroom is yellowish.
The hotel is totally avoidable.

Poor service

There is no dining room in this hotel SAAD; Shillong. They only way to get food is through room service. Complimentary breakfast menu is not satisfactory for us. Main problem is their bathroom's water! Nobody can shower in this dirty water which is full of iron (color yellow). You have to brush your teeth using bottled drinking water. Hotel Owner should fix this ASAP. They can install some centralised water filters with water tank. They should change the staffs as well. We will not stay in this hotel again. Besides that, the hotel is neat and clean. Elevator is working good. Location not bad but there is no food restaurants nearby. Regards, Saifuddin Mahmud. Dhaka, Bangladesh.
