I had to book this place in Shillong cz we had no other option as we visited in peak season and almost all hotels were booked. Positive: The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is in the main market of Police Bazaar. Negative: 1. The bedding was dirty and you might not want to sleep in it! 2. The bathroom will make you puke. 3. The bedroom walls are ill-painted. 4. They didnt serve us with drinking water. 5. The remote of the TV had no cells. 6. The room service was also bad. 7. They dont serve food. So overall, definitely not worth the price!

My Life, My feet, My Way. stayed in this hotel with my family. It seems that the general attitude of the hoteliers in Shillong is uninviting. The hotel is located at keating road and is hardly any distance from centre point. the property is old but definitely can be kept in a much much better condition as regards the upkeep an cleaning is concerned. I had a very comfortable stay but it cold have been improved if the staff cared about the maintenance a bit more.

I stayed there with a friend. I went on official business. The hotel is located at Keating Road, just a few paces from Police Bazar, Shillong's heart. However, apart from that, nothing is too well. The hotel appeared not to have any dining of it's own. Boarders order and they do room service, of course. But the food comes from a nearby restaurant. Geyser does not work. They had running hot water in the evening but not in the morning. Electricity back up is also not good. Considering the tariff, I wouldn't say it a good hotel.

I had checked into this hotel on 29th Apr, 2017 and stayed there for 3 nights (Checkout Date: 2nd May). They charged me Rs.2500 per night for a double-bed room which I felt was above the market rate. Yet, I decided to take that one because we reached there in the afternoon and was feeling tired. Then I realized that their room tariffs are subject to bargaining and they charge different prices for the same room based on how you negotiate with them. Upon a small survey in other hotels I found that at a price range of Rs. 1800-2000 you would have gotten a much better accommodation. The room was okay but as I said it clearly lacked the amenities for which they are charging such a high price. It did not have adequate light. One lamp was missing and inspite of repeated request it was not fixed till the day we left. The availability of water was good but the quality of it was awful. It was full of iron contamination and looked rusty with red-black staining. Obviously, it was difficult to take bath with such a kind of water. Some charging points did not work. The TV was old fashioned CTR (Not LCD) and with distorted color - redish effect in the picture which makes difficult to see and after sometime you got to switch it off. Moreover, the intercom was dead throughout. So if you have to order anything you have walk downstairs for the same. Good thing, though, is that they used to clean the room, change bed sheets every morning after we leave for sight-seeing. Perhaps the best thing about this hotel is its location. It is located at the very heart of Shillong's Police Bazar. So overall my suggestions to all the readers planning for a trip to Shillong is to get an accommodation booked prior to going there. I agree the overall hotel prices are a bit higher there but if you are spending Rs.2500 a night then you deserve a lot better. And if you decide to stay here do a good deal of negotiation before you finalize.
