What's Good: View from the hotel was good. The garden inside the hotel. Swimming pool availability. Indoor sports like table tennis, carrom etc. Food was homely (not very spicy) amd of reasonable price
What needs to improve : No lift facility. Quite far from mall road
Reason For Rating : The room facility was good. The food was also Ok. Prices were reasonable. However there was no lift facility from our room in 2nd floor. It is quite far (not walkable) from Mall road. By taxi it takes around 15 minutes.

What's Good: The ambience, the room, overall staff courtesy, beautiful rose garden, are all great and make the stay very comfortable. Highly recommended.
What needs to improve : The food is way too expensive, but, no doubt the taste is very good.

East Bourne hotel seems past its prime. The fixtures, furniture and looks of the rooms require an overhaul while hotel management is applying small fixes and changes. The old charm is lost. The service is ok but at times it appears they are trying to cut costs even at breakfast which leads to some less than satisfactory experience.

Beautiful construction, Excellent small garden, play area with pool, TT, Carrom, a heated swimming pool. Both pools reasonably priced though. Beautiful views, in a secluded place near khallini but still close to Cart road by car or walk. The GM Ajay Arora is an excellent guy. Superior deluxe rooms are spacious and beautiful.. A family of 4 can sleep on the huge double bed !! Two drawbacks: outrageously expensive food. Lunch/ dinner nothing special buffet at 1100 and 2pooris/paratha for breakfast at 650. 2nd drawback no bonfire or music, even the common area lights they keep switched off. With expensive food even restt. has deserted look. Good restts and dhabas available though at nice walkable distance, so even food is not a big issue. Go stay there.

This hotel was a disappointment. The building is cold throughout, including the indoor pool which was freezing. The bedroom had a large damp patch and the bathroom ceiling was collapsing. The layout is very odd. the terrace area and bar is undercover but open to the elements so very cold and not a place you want to sit. The restaurant is a soulless ballroom style room and the staff, while very friendly were a bit amateur. It does not live up to a 4 star rating and is in need of investment and redesign. I would not stay here again.

The staff was nice and so was the food. The rooms are quite large giving a perfect feel for colonial era. They also have a hot water swimming pool which is perfect after the tedious strolling. This hotel is suited for honeymooners , travellers as well as for business trips.

My wife and I spent two nights here and enjoyed every minute. The food and old school ambiance made the stay memorable. Try and get a room with a view of the mountains which are awesome to see in the morning and are surreal at sunset.
