Luxury Wooden Deluxe rooms offer a comfortable stay. These rooms are delightfully structured with comfortable beds, make-up mirror, TV set for entertainment and a modish bathroom with constant supply of hot/cold water.

Went there last year with a group of 9 people. Its a good 10 hr drive from delhi but its worth a ride. Situated in shelapani, himachal. A huge wooden house with 6 big bedrooms and a big living room with a big front garden. Facing the mountains with an amazing view. We took a package with all 3 meals included . They serve yummy home cooked food. Staff was curtious. We had an amazing time.

Dwarika Residency:A heaven for me in true sense --Every morning getting up to watch the sunrise from my balcony and feel the cold breeze ....has been the most mesmerising experience to my soul .. We have never been anywhere that is as excellent as Dwarika Residency. Every little detail is so important to them -- and you see it not only in the way they care for you as a guest -- but also in their decor/food presentation/etc. Details obviously really matter. It is very quiet here -- and relaxing which is exactly what we needed. The food is absolutely stunning. Don't know how it could be better. Several times Chaman have come out to the table to greet us and to see if we were happy with the food. Yes the Mountain ( Himalayas ) are snow bound -- so warm clothes recommended . There are portions that are snowy with refreshing fresh air looks beautiful as well. The stretch to walk is great on pine jungle side of the resort. Absolutely recommend and definitely hope to return someday!

Excellent location , really pleasant & clean rooms , absolutely stunning food but the main thing that makes this place a good one is the staff and its services . People here are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice . Snow bound mountains , refreshing air , tall pine trees towards jungle side adds to the beauty of Dwarika Residency , Shelapani . Personally , I feel , this place is worth visiting again & again .

I had one of the best experiences here. Stayed here for more than a week :) the riverside; the snowclad temple visit; the plucking of apples from the orchard; the homely food; the ever so humble staff; the caring and friendly owner (Sudhir sir); the plum wine ( which i cant find anywhere else); the view from the residency as well as from the rooms; the collection of old music; i could just go on.. this is one place you will keep going back to with your friends; families and colleagues..

We stayed for four nights at Dwarika Residency towards the end of March. Reaching it from Mumbai takes some doing - and it took us almost 7-8 hours from Chandigarh airport (with a lunch and tea break in between). But once there, it seems a different world. The last 1.5 kms rough road is surrounded by thick deodhar trees on both sides. One can literally smell oxygen, if it were possible to do so. The home itself is all wood, and has little nooks and corners which wind up as separate zones like the library, the dining area, the living area and a relaxation zone on the first floor. It has four rooms, out of which Room#3 and the one below it probably have the best views. Though being in any of the rooms wouldnt matter too much, coz the lawns outside are just perfect for time to spend if you enjoy views. Greens, hammock and the gurgling sound of water. And the cozy library is a great place to put your feet up and get into a long read. The surroundings are apple orchards, green trees and views of the mountains. Top advice - Rise early, by 5.45 am if you can, and watch the changing colours, and the sun glinting off the snow capped peaks in the distance. Surreal!!! The caretaker, Chaman Lal, is a fabulous cook. Small advice - tell him how you like your meals, and he adjusts accordingly. The daals, the pickles and the egg omelettes are just perfect on the taste buds. The treks to 360 degree and some more are good to do too. Make sure you take the sandwiches for a small snack at the top. We slept very well, ate well and enjoyed immensely. Worth the time taken to reach the place. Little experiences like listening to a Jagjit Singh ghazal while eating food, the ever smiling face of the helper Ramesh while taking us to a wonderful trek, or the chirping of the birds when we stood outside in the balcony, were all just amazing. Keep in mind, the rooms are not 100% soundproof, its not uber luxurious and it is perched at a distance for it to have the peace it has. However, If you dont mind some little quibbles (which one can encounter almost anywhere), just go for it.
