I had a one day stay here and would suggest not to book this hotel. Theres only one guy how just sweeps the room as soon as u checkout n wont even open the room if its not occupied for months. The room had a very foul smell the bed ,chair and floors were dusty. When asked to clean the rooms the guy came and sprayed lot of phenol n cleaning chemicals which had a very punching smell n we had to keep the doors n windows open for hours. The main doors were jammed and couldn't close without making noise and some muscle power. No restaurant and clear trip rates are very high. Only good thing is they have 24hr running hot water. Washrooms were dirty , passages and rooms are not maintained we could even see fungus and small wall mushrooms here. Luckily no bed bugs. taps had muddy water. It was a compleat disaster. Im a hotelier and never saw such a pathetic hotel who claims to be 2 star. All the rooms were open and were undergoing some sort of cleaning excersise-- i wonder if the hotel is under maintenance why they are accepting bookings.if they have accepted bookings how could they checkin guest in such a dirty room. Muddy water , dust n rat poo itself says that the rooms were made decades ago. Also this is not near to temple. Not at all worth for 1250 rs .. Cleartrip plz do not even show this on the listing even the room rates go down this is hazardous for health!!

For the amount paid 1067 the room was upto marked. The rates are hyped here in cleartrip there the actual rate is 883 only. The room was spacious with foul smell. Its not very near to temple. Need to walk 10 minutes. But that is okay.

not satisffied with the room.a/c was not working.room was very hot in night tere was power failure for 1 hour.totally it was a horrible staying.the hotel was situated 1km away from the temple .there was no food service in the hotel.

I visited Mookambika on October 17th and I have booked 2 Rooms in this Hotel. But moment I entered the hotel the old man (Manager) asked me how I booked. When I told Clear Trip, he was asking how much I have paid? when I told him the amount he was telling me, the amount I have paid was less. Then I contacted the Clear trip and have to talk with them for 15 minutes to sort out the issues. I booked 2 Non AC rooms thinking it is monsoon time, but the rooms which was provided in the 1st floor was damn hot and could not sleep in the noon time. This hotel is very far from the temple and everytime we need to pay for auto to go to temple. Dont book this hotel any more it is waste of money.

I planned a solo trip to north karnataka, so I booked this decent looking hotel. I had not much expectations from this hotel because I just wanted a place to sleep at night. Location-wise this hotel seemed okay as I prefer to stay slightly away from market and noisy areas. When I reached at the hotel, old man at reception wasted at least half an hour in understanding how I booked this hotel online, how much I paid, who will pay him etc. That guy even told me to pay the difference of Rs. 50 as he said that you have paid less, hotel tariff increased. During the night there were many small bugs in the room. I asked the staff if they have mortein or any spray, coil or anything but they didn't had anything. I had to fight with the staff for half an hour and then finally changed my room to another one. Somehow I could survive the night with my 'old monk'. Will not recommend this to anyone.
