Good food, good place but dint expect few things from the owner. Charged us unexpectedly on food. Though we paid for a 2 night stay they cheated us on giving food for just 1day and the next morning they refused to give us breakfast even after paying an amount of 600 extra to them. The owner dint have the curtesy to even provide hot water to freshen up and our family were forced to leave. Had good amount of respect on the owner when we arrived but did not get back the same when we left. My advice to people planning to go here is do not go to this Homestay as there are much better homestays where they give the required amount of respect to the customers staying at theirs! And also the beds and pillows were just the ones that they give us in govt hospitals..in fact the ones at hospitals are better than those at the homestay. Pillows were just hard rocks!!

Had a neat simple stay for two days. Enjoyed the nature surrounding the place to the fullest. So friendly people with home food. Suited for families with kids too. I went with one year old son. He enjoyed a lot and no worries regarding his food. Had great time.

We stayed in Inchara homestay during our recent Western Ghats roadtrip in late September. We stayed here for 2 nights as a group of 7 (4 adults, 2 kids above 12 and 1 kid below 10). This place is a wow right from the time you enter the estate. It is in the middle of arecanut plantation with greenery all around. Numerous flowering plants, fruit trees, pepper creepers etc greet you when you enter the estate. Rooms: We were allocated rooms with extra beds already in place and the rooms were quiet large and very neat with crisp white sheets and clean bathrooms. Rooms are equipped with air conditioners but we did not feel the need to use them given the cool weather. Hot water is really H-O-T thanks to the old style wood fired boilers which were fired early in the morning. Please carry your own toiletries if you are really fussy about using basic toiletries provided here. Host: Mr. Ramesh is a great person to interact with and to hear stories about the region, his estate etc. The best part is he (along with his wife) stays here in the estate all through the year and that way this is a home stay in truest sense. Service staff: Very cordial and efficient with their work. We were never made to wait longer than necessary for anything we asked for - be it coffee/tea, food, lighting bonfire, snacks at bonfire. Food: Fantastic is an understatement. It is very very yummy and sumptuous. Every meal was a surprise for us with true malnad style delicacies. Main items were never repeated through out stay here. It was so irresistible that we had multiple servings of each item in every meal and overall ended up over eating :-). Do not miss their strong filter coffee which is from their family's estate in coorg. Facilities on the estate: An open badminton court (which we thoroughly enjoyed), TT table, carroms, a large open party hall with swings, and pathaways to walk a little deep into the estate where you can see a pond, streams etc. There are 3-4 rooms which can be rented out at a time on the estate - so expect to see few people around if all rooms are occupied. But this should not take away your privacy because clusters of rooms are constructed at a distance and there are 2-3 dining areas which serve well for different groups separately. Bonus: Their golden retrievers - sindhu and bindu - are really adorable and friendly. Our kids enjoyed their company throughout our stay. Overall it was a fantastic experience for us staying in Inchara homestay and we loved every bit of it.

Set in the midst of arecanut plantation, this is a property with natural beauty at it's best. Easy access from the highway. Clean and neat rooms with all required amenities barring of course the urban luxuries (actually it's a good detox therapy!). Fantastic malnad cuisine on offer. They have a large sheltered party area with bonfire arrangement too. And yeah, they do have recreation activities including TT, carrom and badminton. Overall it was a pleasant homestay experience for us. We stayed there for New Years at end Dec 2016.

visited to inchara home stay today with my friends and kids.we were 7 ladies and 14 kids from shimoga.the home stay is very beautiful and calm! with a touch of malnad ! lush green every where and very homely. They have lots of games for all, like carrom, table tennis, badminton, play area with swings and slide.we also liked the area next to the park with swings where its not enclosed but has shelter,we all had fun time there chatting and playing games there.the dyning area is also very inviting and the food was very tasty, both veg and non veg.The hosts were very hospitable. The rooms are comfortable and few are like cottages and you can have privacy too.we also went for plantation walk and it was very nice.the drizzling weather also added to the beauty of nature.we had a great trip and liked the home stay a lot.
