What's Good: Location
What needs to improve : Not worth the amount paid
Reason For Rating : You guys charged me 5800 for one night but the tariff in the resort was 3500. You guys have charged 2300 extra from us which is not justified. You guys are hopeless

Had been here for the new year party echoes of malnad . Entry for couple-6499 stag-4499 ladies-3499 with unlimited drinks, starters and dinner. There was a general entry ticket worth 1499 which included one free drink, one starter and dinner.The party was ok not upto what I expected..the vibes were good..the DJ seemed ok..but had a great time with friends.

I have stayed for two days in November 2019. What could have become the beautiful and great property, is average due to half hearted attempt by the owners of the property. The location is good, the quality of construction of the property is good. However, the rooms are very small and guests are not welcomed whole heartedly. Facilities are very basic. There is no proper structure for running the resort. Every small requirement of the guest is to be approved by the owner who sits in another city, who runs it like a school.

Resort is neat and clean. Food was very pathetic, and 5 star hotel priced. Not worth for money paid. For 2 pieces of Lemon they are charging Rs.75/-. 2 boiled eggs is Rs.125/-. it was totally disappointing visit.

Not recommended as there are very strange rules which i have never seen ever. 1) Check in Time -2PM and Check out time is 11 am - Guys this is not a resort but a home stay. 2) If u are travelling from any location to this resort than u should update the homestay within 10:30 am on the same day of check in, that you would come for lunch or else no lunch would be provided (this will neither mentioned at the time of booking nor does his website talk about it). If youre traveling in that location most of the time your mobile would not be reachable. 3) Limited food options but they charge a bomb there is no fixed standard menu card with rates for food items. A veg snack plate is Rs.160 and Non veg starter is 185 a lime juice would be charged at Rs.65/ 4) Owner is very arrogant (owner-Mr. KANEENA) before booking he will be so pleasing with u and post the booking u will see a very different face (ref to all the reviews to understand better). 5) I was given the room after checking in the A.C, Geyser, telephone in the room is not working and there is continues power fluctuation on complaining they say we are checking with the electricity line men and shall update shortly (they will not switch on the Generator). 6) We had an infant and we after 7~8 hrs. of journey, were tired and wanted to give bath to baby but no power we kept our luggage inside the room and were waiting outside the room for the rectification. 7) After 1 hr. the owner calls and says there is some problem as the rooms are new, there is a power issue in that room so we shall check u in to the villa but it will take 1 hr. for cleaning, I still had patience and waited and finally after checking in at 6 PM to the home stay we were given room at 9:30 PM in the evening till such time two families with kids and infants we were outside our rooms as there was power fluctuation in 101 and 102 luxury room(which he claims). Never take these two rooms and rest of the rooms are substandard don't go by the pics shared on the website the Villa's are way too expensive and u can stay in a 5 star hotel with great ambiance. 8) The snacks what we ordered was really pathetic (pls check the reviews of our other travelers as well who had similar experience). If u are veg than pls dont order any veg starter as the oil used to cook the non-veg would be reused for veg (the smell is really bad) pls avoid. 9) The dinner would be served till 10:30 PM only, and they charge Veg Rs.250/ and non-veg -250 all same menu for both with additional 1 non veg curry and before the cut-off time u should finish or else they would switch off the lights and close the dinner (including drinking water would not be supplied after the cut-off time). This is very unusual and u feel that u are not there for relaxation but for some military training programme with loads of rules implemented. 10) Morning breakfast will be served till 8 am and same rules as above, and if u arrive after the cut-off time u would not be served but charged full, also kids above 5 years would be charged full. I have never seen this practice anywhere even in star hotel where they charge half the price for kids (my daughter just had two slice of bread and jam and we were charged Rs.150/). Just take a 10 min walk on the main road u get amazing local food in a good hotel there. (We also wanted to explore the resort and its facilities the next day morning but couldn't find any activity there (what all is claimed in the website is all false there is No cycling, no boating nothing) u can see his estate with are ca nut trees around and satisfy yourself that youre in the mid of the nature) 11) Next day at 10:30 am the room boy came and updated me that the time is up u have to check out, I said u gave us room at 9:30 PM despite of checking in at 6:00 PM than why so early check out I shall talk to owner. 12) On calling owner he says as promised I gave u the room but if the power fluctuation there I cant help it, its beyond my control, so check out now. I told him the tone and language youre speaking doesnt suit u to be in hospitality/service industry. Where is customer service? What is the benchmark for customer satisfaction? He doesnt have these words in his dictionary at all 13) He has no answer and kept on arguing and shouting on top of his voice that this is my resort, my rules apply here. Im least bothered about what the industry follows u have u check out now. I told him very patiently that after having lunch I will check out at 2 PM as my family and kids wanted to spend some time as we checked in late and also by the time we were given rooms and we all settled it was 9:30 pm. 14) But he says no I will not give u lunch and u have to check out, I dont understand he thinks that he is doing a favor to us and we are at mercy. He said I gave u an upgrade to villa I said I never asked for any upgrade but u had to accommodate us as we had paid u 100% for a luxury rooms and there is a power supply issue in the room in which we checked in, so whats that u have done we had lot of patience and did not utter anything but this person instead of being apologetic says u cannot stay in my room and I will throw your luggage outside. 15) I lost my cool and said I will check out by 2pm and later he disconnected the power supply to the room and exercised all possibilities to check us out. Since we were firm he could not do much. 16) Later at the time of checking out he handed over a hand written bill (not an itemized bill) and on demanding the bill he says who is going to pay taxes, if u want u pay us the tax money than I can give u the proper bill and all the prices quoted in the bill is as per his whims and fantasies as there is no standard menu rate card. He is evading tax and fooling tax authorities,u to pay more if u need a proper bill) but in his website the prices mentioned are inclusive of all. 17) On telling him that I will report this issue online and today reviews and ratings play a crucial role in hospitality industry, he says there are many people who still come I have no issues u can go-ahead and update (look at the audacity of this guy to talk to customers like this). Stay out of this place, kindly check the ratings its not the first time he has been doing this to several other guests who stayed there and have expressed their bad experience with vihangama home stay.

Had a Stay with 10 families in this Holiday resort. The Resort is in a vast area located among the tress , river . Ideal for group activities and eco based tourism . Coming to the negatives I think service needs to be improved. Secondly food options is limited and not the best of the kind. Flexibility is very limited when it comes to service
