I was at Camp Roxx for the New Year's Eve, and I couldn't have possibly found a better place to spend NYE with my friends. The camp is close enough to drive down from Delhi, yet far enough from the city to be peaceful and quiet. We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. Every morning there are adventure activities and games conducted by the camp, and every evening there is a movie playing in a small open air theatre (with popcorn!). The movie is followed by music, where we danced away all our city problems. The ambience of the camp is amazing... there is ambient lighting, bonfire, trees, mountains, and a simplistic allure. We stayed up all night admiring the serenity and the stars, something we don't get in Delhi :( The food at the camp is DELICIOUS (seriously, there is absolutely no denying this). The camp also has some pet dogs, and they're all really friendly and playful. The camp spreads out to include a stream, and an open playground, where we would leisurely walk around in the afternoons and evenings. The cabins where we stayed were comfortable, and were designed to host 5 people. I met great people during my visit, and now have fond memories of each of them. A special call out to the owner, and his two sons who make an effort to provide you a great experience. Camp Roxx provides a great outdoorsy experience and has a rustic charm, while still having all modern necessities. I strongly recommend this place to everyone who wants to step away from the hustle bustle of the city, and wants to enjoy peace and quiet of nature. Go here if you like exploring new places. And when you visit, you might even see me there, because I intend to go to Camp Roxx all the time now! Thank you Camp Roxx for helping me start 2018 perfectly!

I quite loved this camp. Even though its just off the highway, the 3 kilometre dirt track from the highway that leads you to Camp Roxx, puts you plumb in the middle of nowhere.Surrounded on all sides by a pine forest and with only bird sound piercing your ears this is a small slice of paradise not too far from civilization. The way the camp is laid out, there are a mix of tented and more permanent accommodations available at Camp Roxx. We were in a large group and got the rooms only. There are about 8-10 shelters with attached washrooms, but for the larger part you have to use the restrooms at the top of the campsite. Its a 50-metre hike uphill and those with weak knees would do better to opt for the shelters with the attached loos! Also if you can choose the tents in the middle of the campsite which offer a good view of the forest and are still far enough from the washrooms, the ones at the lower end aren't exactly blessed with a good view and its a few steps further away from the restrooms. The rooms are pretty basic, with no furniture other than camp beds and sheets and blankets for the winter season. They do however have power points in all rooms and if you can carry your own heaters. It can get quite chilly in winters because the campsite is located in the shadow region of the mountain. This means the sun does not hit the camp in winters till around 10 am and it disappears over the ridge early in the evening as well. This is great in summers but in winters it makes the ambiance chilly! There is a large dining hall and the food served is delicious, but again very basic. I do hope the camp can up their game in this regard. Or it was probably because we were in a large group that there wasn't much on offer other than the standard buffet. Either way the food was tasty. There are several activities you can indulge in at the campsite, trekking, rappelling, climbing and lots more with professional supervision. There is enough to do to spend a whole weekend here. The only challenge here were the outdoor washrooms, they can certainly be in better condition. Several washrooms were broken, either the flush wouldn't work or the baths had no taps, or there were insufficient buckets. I do think if the camp is also modernized with solar lighting and heating, running hot and cold water should not be an issue. Though its quaint to stand around and see how hot water is made in the localised heater that uses wood fire, its a bit time consuming. Service is passable, and though they are eager to help, things move slowly and systematically. So if you need a mid-day snack, its best you carry your own stuff, else it takes time for the kitchen to rustle something up. Overall Camp Roxx is a good option for a quick weekend break if youre in th emood for some outdoors activity and, if you dont want to carry your tent and other paraphernalia.

I visited Camp Roxx in month of November, 2017. Location wise place is at around 280KM, Highways are very smooth as you cover most of the distance while on NH-1 which is pretty smooth. Once you reach you have to do a trek of around 1.5 KM which is almost doable. Staff in Camp Roxx is very helpful, you always get all the basic amenities no problem at all.Food served was also very tasty especially the breakfast. Also loved the adventure activities that were thrown at us I really enjoyed net climbing, Burma bridge, and fly-fox activities. All in all a very good place to unwind. Ideally you can spend 2 days and One night at this place.
