We were host to a homely reception by the Local couples running the property. The land lady Ms. Urmil Thakur epitomises the kind hospitality and humanity that people across the state of Himachal display and in no time we found a home away from home. After all how often can you be served a homely breakfast of Aloo paratha and chai on a rainy morning in the dining hall of the hotel owners. In fact to call it a hotel is injustice. It is rightly called a homestay and also approved and recommended by HP govt. We were a group of 6 riders (on our riyal enfield road trip to Sarahan) when we chose Atithi Kunj to stay overnight. Our nights halt was at this beautiful himachali homestay. We parked our bikes for the day after a long 10 hour ride and felt like finding a shore after swimming an island when we lunged to our beds at 4 Am in the morning. Next morning we woke up to the sound of a chugging toy train after catching around 5-6 hours of sleep. That is when we realised the beauty of the homestay location which was just along the Kalka Simla narrow rail line. So you know where to drop in and have tea on your next journey to Simla.

I stayed at Atithi Kunj in June, 2015. It was really nice experience at Waliah's. Nice family stay and good food. Highly recommended. It was like you are at your home, having daily new food and fresh fruits at Atithi Kunj. I would love to be in Solan again.

Firstly anyone visiting this place has to leave behind the mindset of spending their holidays in a hotel as the tag line itself says *home stay* . One will actually feel the essence of being at home at Atithi Kunj! There is this lovely family of an adorable pahadi couple Varun&Rashmi living with their parents including their lovely daughter, a perfect example of happy living joint family. Me and my friend travelled to this place by car. Parking your car at the place is a bit adventurous however the owner takes care of that very smoothly. In our typical city language, on the ground floor they have the guest rooms giving you some amazing, peaceful views and giving the essence of being surrounded by the mountains. Now coming to food, every single cuisine is home made, yes it is! Ask for any type of cuisine and they have it for you, not from the market or anywhere but everything is home cooked and so fresh, organic. There's is this tunnel adjacent to their place yet again one can see solan's local train from very close. The Atithi Kunj couple makes sure to entertain you and have very interesting and new things lined up if you wish to stay their and not go out. Live music On guitar under the stars on chilly nights with born fire on the terrace with some amazing snacks cooked by Rashmi, every night leaving you entertained to the core. For friends, couple this place is a must visit ! Yet again some breath taking views from the terrace, night adds on the beauty of Solan. There are some amazing places to visit there and if going for the first time, not to worry as Varun is their to guide you and make you not only comfortable but in love with the places. Off road trip is one of the highlights if you visit Solan - a must do activity !! Shimla, very popular tourist place is very close from Solan to visit and one can easily enjoy the mall market experience of Shimla and other places in just one day as it is very near from Atithi Kunj. One of my favourite memory has to be fresh pan cakes with blue berry in the breakfast and for reference have posted some beautiful pictures of the Home Stay leaving you with amazing interior.
