What's Good: I am a frequent traveller and had travelled a lot in India and abroad. The hotel cannot be rated even 3 star. Nothing good except pure veg dhaba in front of hotel and breakfast in the hotel. Lock of the door was jammed my wife and hotel staff cannot open the room i used to open the room forcefully each time. I had asked for room change they replied this is best room of the hotel. Room service and food is poor. They serves tea and milk without cups and we have to fight for cups. Two Bulbs of the rooms are changed on our request. They take booking of taxi for Gulmarg and had informed at 9 PM that tomorrow morning cab will not be provided I had arranged myself. They do not guides about anything. The hotel is money minded even if you need print of your ticket they need Rs. 100. For extra mattresses they asked Rs. 1200 per night. In my opinion the room do not worth more than Rs. 2000 per night but they are charging Rs. 5000 per night. I am surprised how the hotel is such overrated at Tripadvisor.

  • A fabulous stay & truly a safe one in Srinagar

by Sunpreet Singh A on April 8, 2018

I visited Srinagar during g June-July 2017 along with my mother, we stayed @Batra hotel at Srinagar which was truly an experience in itself, right from checkin till checkout everything was smooth, staff is ever courteous and make u feel home and used to share experiences and giving advices on places to explore around Kashmir arranging transport and almost everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.Krishna veg dhaba is just across road and is also vegetarians paradise and quiet reasonable on pocket.Do take evening stroll along beautiful dal lake in the evening which is around a km or so.Explore eateries dotted along the lake for some authentic Kashmiri and north Indian relishing cuisines and also shop some souvenirs while your way back from market nearby.

  • Tasty food and very courtesy hotel staff

    by 714atulw on March 19, 2018

Good spacious rooms . Very courteous hotel staff and extraordinary service. Teriff is quite reasonable . Hotel is not too big , I guess around 25 Rooms but good ambiance well connected with the places of interest .Food is very good. They do not serve non-vegetarian food. Not too far from the Airport. It took me 40 mins by Taxi . Consider extra 15-20 mins at least when you plan to go to Srinagar airport. You need to go through extra cover of security posts which take some extra time

  • Seen 2-3 rooms . All were equally good .
